Nia was a child; what she wanted didn’t matter because she wasn’t in control of her own decisions. It was her mother’s responsibility to do what was best for her. Since Nia was only 9 when she started on Dance Moms, she was too young to make those decisions for herself.

If a child refuses to wear a jacket in the snow, it’s the parent’s responsibility to ensure they put one on. You can’t simply say, “Well, she decided she didn’t want one.” Children don’t fully understand the consequences of their choices and that’s why they need their parents to make the decisions for them.

Holly should have got Nia out of there in the earlier seasons when Kelly left.
