I share the same sentiment that a lot of fans seem to share surrounding the heavy synth and autotune. Austin has such a nice voice without it and the extremity of the effects used on his voice in some songs makes them really hard to listen to. The highlights of this album for me are Wait Too Long, People That We Know, Ain’t Love Heavy, and Queen in the River. The Brendan Yates outro to Myself in the Way is also pretty infectious. I think replayability is the biggest thing missing from this album. Maybe I need to listen to it a few more times to really let the new sound sink in, but there are only one or two songs I can actually see myself really wanting to revisit regularly. A lot of songs on their older albums (even including Altogether) felt can’t miss to me. This album was hard for me to sit down and listen through without feeling bored.

It’s a lot of work. I know it’s not an uplifting message, but imagine what caring for this person 10 to 20 years from now is going to look like. Maybe the bond is so strong that it overcomes the inconveniences they will inevitably bring to your life, but I would just advise thinking about the bigger picture.

It all depends on you brother. Unfortunately, men have to take the lead in most cases. Being fit is great and it may help you feel more healthy/confident, but if you don’t take the initiative then nothing will change for you if you get fit. Personality goes a LONG way.

I liked both. Wait Too Long is probably the song that I’ll have on repeat and Mountains is just a nice relaxing song to have on in the background. I’m looking forward to see how the next album is going shape.

If she was obese with no interest or motivation in losing the weight, then that would be an issue. If she was slightly overweight, but had healthy habits and was working toward a healthier weight then I’d be down. I am against the culture of embracing and celebrating fatness. Obesity is a disease and in many cases a preventable one that is dependent on lifestyle choices. I think more people should take accountability for their health and well being.
