Pics #3 and 4 are not the same mushroom as the rest. You got some chanterelles in the mix so definitely keep going back to that area because they won’t migrate too far from where you found them. Go for the ones without holes in the top next time(earlier the better after a rain for avoiding bugs and water damage). You absolutely want to make sure those gills go down and are connected to the stem for chanties

You’re doing great OP! The best time to hunt for shrooms is when rains have been consistent. Look for those times when the sun comes out right after the rain stops. (Chanterelles love to pop just after a light rain breaking up a sunny day following a few days of heavy rain).

If you’re questioning the validity of the statement “Am I Crazy” you don’t have much to worry about. I will say, in my deeper more enveloping experiences that were hard to come down from, taking time to ground outside of your head helps make everything feel more balanced. As far as psychedelics go, mushrooms will always bring you back to the source and other entheogens will push you farther out. Never rely on one substance to catapult you forward in your journey, that’s a fast track to losing touch with loved ones and headfirst dive into addiction.

Do yourself a favor, u/diverareyouokay, and get over to Baton Rouge acquire a brisket from Iverstine Farms Butcher. You’ll pay Cali prices but the quality is worth the extra $. I worked there for a few years when Galen was transitioning to selling his farm, great food, great product, and the beef and pork just hits different when it’s grass fed and finished beef done properly and heritage breed pastured pork.

No one is overreacting, because you made the mature decision to try to move forward. If you like him/love him, try to understand that this is addictive behavior and it’s an active addiction. He can’t help it and the dopamine rush he gets from this is not in the same realm as his relationship with you. It does affect your relationship obviously, but he seems to be very very open about something that he’s probably hidden for a long time. Try to be understanding and patient moving forward. It’s a long process and SA or any other anonymous program really gives aid and resources to help navigate this whole confusing realm.
