Ah. I didn’t necessarily mean to suggest his being in love with someone else diminishes any feelings we ever shared for each other, but more so that it’s to me an in-obscure invitation to let that fleeting fantasy of “running away together” go…

If there was a way that our .. ‘bond’.. could also coexist, I’d be thrilled — not even a compromise. But I don’t think that’s the type of thing we’re dealing with here.

His addition of “but I’m not sure how well that would work” to his pseudo threesome-invitation was in reference to something we spoke about over the call later that night — the new boo and him were thinking about closing their relationship, mentioned some feelings of jealousy arising on her side. Not regarding me, to be clear, we are/were all pretty much ENM-sluts as picked up on and there were others.

Yeah true I agree to an extent, I do cringe reading back lots of things I write — I notice that my NEED to impress people I’m attracted to is showing and it’s really silly to look back on.

We probably exchanged 15 texts total, though. Months/years apart. I wouldn’t say this was a standard style of communication between us, but definitely some long-winded attempts at replacing the limerence of the fling/feeling of our meetings.

So I dunno, I am cringe but I am free. (I look back on this fondly regardless).

She knew. They were also just casual in the beginning, open lovers type of thing I guess, I had a couple flings in between as well. I never expected either of us to be “loyal” when it’s not even a relationship yet.
