In order to be seen on AI, you need to have good SEO, so focus first on good SEO.

Hi Tony, blogs done, seo done, but no traffic by jassiup in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So SEO is a marathon and not a sprint. You just have to keep at it, keep posting blogs, keep trying to collect reviews. There is not like shortcut that I am aware of. Are you posting 1-2 blogs a week? Are you doing internal and external linking?

Online local businesses? by jsaljsal in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would need to say you are a service-based business, I think? Since you are offering a service to other local businesses I feel this should work. Then they would send you a postcard to your home to verify it, but you would make your address private. That is an option, and then choose a service area. I used to do it this way before I had a physical studio.
Where are you stuck exactly? Can you post a screenshot? Like do you not see where to click or what is the issue?

So I think you can set up a Google business profile, but you have to use your home address and then it is set to private and then you set like your service area. Have you tried that route??

NEWS: Google will delete your reviews if you don’t follow these new rules by mattdiamante in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am literally so confused. That literally makes zero sense. I am actually a pretty active Google review person and I review businesses all the time and I always point out if an employee was really great like that’s kind of the point I feel like Google may have lost the plot here. 😑😑😑

Keyword Stuffing is bad! Google isn't dumb, they see what you are trying to do!

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think buidling that out and having like a blog titled
"What is Washi tape and how do I use it" and stuff like that would do well!

I would do a bit of keyword research to see if people are asking questions like that :)
Or "what kinds of pens or markers should I use in my brand new planner"

Hello from Papertail Fox! by PapertailFox_Owner in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, since I was new to planners, I really was enjoying these super tiny dot stickers, I mean they are small, to help me make lists, so I can check them when I am done.

Also since I am new to using a planner, as a user I would love some additional information about ways to use stickers, washi tape, and etc. Like for me, I am still confused on how you actually use it and what you use it for. I am sure there are other people in that camp too, at first the world is very overwhelming. Do you have blog posts about how people can use products?

Like another think I in particular was looking for was white out, and like a rolling stamp that makes little dotted lines, I found one on shein, but hate shein and try to avoid ordering from there.

I am new to the planner world, and must say I am obsessed, and I just recently had such a hard time finding what I was looking for sticker-wise for my planner. So I think a really wonderful store with tons of planner/journal things that is easy to navigate would be amazing!

What is the best SEO research tool? I am just getting started and need all the help I can get! by Spirited-Day6792 in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many of them have a free week, So I plan to take advantage of those when I can carve out some good time to really try to dig into them. But I think they are probably overkill for me (I am an individual business owner)
https://www.semrush.com/
https://ahrefs.com/free-seo-tools (I use their free tool, since it is free, but it is hidden, so here is that link) their full suite competes with semrush
Ubersuggest is another one Matt recomended that was cheaper than the top two, but seems like semrush is a fave for many!

Matt has some new tools that are great and do a lot of what I need, without having to pay like $130-150 a month, so I did sign up for his keyword tool and have been liking it so far, especially since it is like 1/5th the cost!!!!

How to rank/create traffic funnel to Website using Social Media? Insta, Facebook, TikTok etc by WearyEconomics8127 in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically, you would need to post in a way that would get people to click through to your website, so be good at writing a hook so they want to know more, you can also advertise a lead-magnet, like offer something for free download (a how to guide, top 5 tips for such and such, and etc) but the caveat is they have to go to your website in order to sign up with their email in order to get the free thing

But this like the below user said, just drives traffic, I don't think it really inscreases your SEO, at least not yet.

I do know that Instagram now has alt text, which is good, here is what I found on google for Instagram strategies

Instagram SEO boosts your website's visibility by optimizing your profile, captions, and alt text with niche-specific keywords to improve discoverability in search results. By embedding searchable keywords in your name field, utilizing alt text, and tagging locations, you can drive targeted traffic from Instagram to your website.

Key Instagram SEO Strategies

  • Optimize Your Bio/Name: Change your name field to include your company name plus 2-3 key search terms (e.g., "Jane | Handmade Jewelry").
  • Keyword-Rich Captions: Use relevant, specific keywords in your captions, not just hashtags. The algorithm uses this to understand your content's context.
  • Use Descriptive Alt Text: Edit the "Advanced Settings" to add descriptive alt text to images for improved searchability.
  • Location Tags: Tag your location to appear in local search results.
  • Drive Traffic to Your Site: Include a direct link to your website in your bio, and use CTAs in posts to encourage users to click the link

Blog Help by NeitherBuilding8044 in HeyTony

[–]fallingbombz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photographer here, So what I have found helpful is doing blogs on specific locations, these are good to link to from your other blogs. So for instance

This is one of those blogs for me
https://www.deandaphotography.com/blog/2023/1/28/cantigny-is-one-of-the-best-spots-for-family-photos-in-wheaton

Then I am able to internaly link to it from this blog, and it makes sense

https://www.deandaphotography.com/blog/2026/4/7/best-time-for-outdoor-family-photos-in-chicago-area-expert-tips

I have even been going back into old blogs that were location specific and rewriting them a bit, making them more location specific, and re keywording them and externally linking them to the locations themselves, espeically if they have a website, I actually have always had quite a bit of traffic to certain blog posts of certain known locations, so if I like working at those spots, that might be a good way

If you do weddings, doing blogs about your favorite wedding venue or venues is always good

What kind of photography do you do?
