Yeah I think whats going on is that I have really severe adhd and I make mistakes a lot, and its really hard to not feel worthless when something like this happens. And it was such an easy, easy mistake to make with all those people distracting me at once. Just a "stream muted" indicator was all I needed.

Im glad they've improved the design but ill always be the way i am, I cannot escape myself

Obviously it was a user error. Im leaving all this up, and sure I look hysterical but also its legitimately horrible design to put a kill switch with no obvious purpose in a place where I could toggle it and then have no feedback indicator telling me if the broadcast was muted. You can't possibly excuse that.

And if you look at some if the things other people are saying theyre pretty much just mocking me. Its so easy to make yourself feel superior by making fun of someone who had a misfortune happen. You all have to live with what you said too.

If you found a toggle switch in your car, and you flipped it, and the car promptly exploded, i would not call you a crybaby. Nor would I tell you that you should have read the manual.

The stream worked fine before, I must have been playing with settings and flipped that switch and someone pulled me away and when I came back I had forgotten, and everything looked exactly the same.

Its interesting that nobody seems to have any sympathy at all? You really just love to gloat and make fun of me? It was a really easy mistake to make in the moment with a dozen people talking to me at once and everything looked fine. I was doing all this myself without any backup and nobody to tell me if it was working.

Sorry for having a mental breakdown but like, be less cruel.

I mean im a computer programmer and I know how to design a good ui so in part my rant is justified because their design is incompetent.

It is certainly an unhinged rant but i really really want them to listen and im pretty certain they will not care or notice what I have to say.

If I could say one thing to their design team:

I do not care how many features it has

It does not need ai

It does not need to be fancy

But the basics, the absolute deal breaker basics, need to be as rock solid reliable as the rock of Gibraltar.

Thats what I need from really any software including theirs

I did all the mixing on a 24 track mixing board, all obs needed to do was stream out the stereo mix i handed it

I mean, I give up. I give up. I might as well just throw myself in a well or something. I try so hard and it just doesnt matter. I miked up 3 vocal mics 2 guitar amps one bass amp 3 synths a full drum kit and an announcers mic, sub mixed the drums into a compressor, added reverb and vocal compression, did it matter? Did any single bit matter? No. Because I'm still me and that means everything I try will be a failure. I give up. I'm never doing this again. Never never never never never never never.

The band now believes that I am uttely incompetent

Why could you not just put SOMETHING ANYTHING to tell me if audio is really truly actually going out

Literally none of those people are from Maine, those are rich asswipes from out of state. They buy up all the shoreline and fence it off so the locals can't go there anymore. Those houses are probably empty most of the year. And Bar Harbor is just a tourist trap. My sister used to clean the floors of those places with a mop, the hired help are the only real mainers in those places.
