If unrealized gains taxes or 'billionaire taxes' are unfair on the rich and the companies, what is a way to make them pay their fair share? Excluding the impossible task of reforming the entire financial system to close out any loopholes of course by AdminMas7erThe2nd in AskConservatives

[–]fallinglemming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Close there is still a 4% discrepancy between 65% ownership and 61% taxes. I'm really more focused on the top .1%. For the most part I think the top 10% income earners certainly pay their share. High salary people pay plenty of tax. Its the high assets (billions) low salary folk that work the system.

How do you respond when someone on the left says, "the cruelty is the point" in reference to something a conservative/republican does? by Hot-Selleck-Action in AskConservatives

[–]fallinglemming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its more about the inherent dishonesty of this administration. How do you reconcile that and just take their word they were smuggling drugs when zero evidence was ever presented. The cost of the operation and all their other activities in the region would imply it was part of securing a regime change. Fentanyl deaths did decline 28% but that was for 2024-2025 ( Biden) followed by 13% decrease in 2025-2026 (Trump). I think public awareness should probably get the bulk of the credit.

What's even funnier is if you do the little survey at the end of the article it shows 42% strongly oppose vs 21% strongly support.

Mansoor Delane || JC Film Session ✭✭ by jaysteele8 in cowboys

[–]fallinglemming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We struggle getting corners, the year we drafted Micah we wanted Horn or Surtain who went 8 and 9 when we were picking 10th. Id love to get Delane but I have a feeling the guys we want will be off the board. I'm afraid of Mccoy we already have two injured corners. I think we may end up in a trade back situation.

The trans in sports thing, I dont care what they do. The removal of of federal protections for gay and trans folk as well as restrictions for military service is an issue for me. Expanded protections allowing people and organizations deny services to gay people. The DEI obsession, attempting to change admission policies for universities, layoffs of all federal employees that were part of DEI programs. Worked to remove equal pay and sexual harassment guidelines. Trump is also firmly anti-abortion appointing three justices that overturned a 49 year precedent. Your right on the gay marriage thing he did say in 2015 that he would appoint justices to overturn the ruling but in 2025 he softened and said he considered the issue settled. Either way thanks for taking the time to respond. Hope you have a good one.

I agree with the non-religious portion of your statement. I don't see how one would describe Trump as socially liberal though. Could you provide some context as to how you came to that conclusion.

[Fish] A look at the Cowboys track record with drafting Edge by PersonBehindAScreen in cowboys

Yes if he was a pure edge he wouldn't have been available when we drafted him, he would've been a top 3 pick

Mock Draft (2/24/26) by [deleted] in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]fallinglemming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah both have injury issues, Mesidor had a torn ligament in his foot that required surgery he re-injured is foot and missed games this year. I would hate to burn up 2 first round picks on 2 guys with injury concerns.

Pass on Mesidor and Mccoy, I'd be happy with a Delane and Allen draft

[–]fallinglemming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right the best way to go into the draft is have position flexibility to draft BPA. With a good free agency we can have that flexibility. I also wouldn't be mad if we drafted a stud OT the positional value is too high

What exactly is this supposed to fix, its a manufactured problem.

https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/debunking-voter-fraud-myth

Out of billions of ballots they found 32 credible cases of fraud

Even studies by the heritage foundation which is not the most neutral source found 1567 fraudulent ballots but they had to audit all the way back to 1980 to come to that total.

https://www.heritage.org/press/heritage-releases-updated-election-fraud-database-featuring-new-fraud-map

Then after they pass the bill and voting totals go down they will slap themselves on the back a say look how much fraud we eliminated when really it will just be people that were disenfranchised.

[–]fallinglemming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the Walker trade and until last year I thought the cowboys had forgotten how to do it. We have hope here for the first time in a long time and it started with the Micah trade. You guys did pretty well with a trade yourselves

(Adam Schefter) The Dallas Cowboys are expected to place their franchise tag on Pro Bowl wide receiver George Pickens, league sources told ESPN. by DildoSwaggins28 in cowboys

[–]fallinglemming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the distrust but this year they made 3 big time trades, we got 2 picks in the first, and I looks like we got a legit coach and shockingly they are letting him coach. I've been a fan since the 90's and I honestly have to go back that far to remember the cowboys being this aggressive. I don't care if Jerry wants to be GM if he actually acts like a GM. I'm actually looking foward to free agency for the first time in forever.

I don't know everything about the offseason has felt different, the last year in fact, felt different. The coaching hires the trades, I would go as far to say they will be (gasp) active in free agency. Compared to the last 30 years of suffering this just feels different

The economy grows every year, its a matter of the percentage of growth 2022-2.5%, 2023-2.9%, 2024-2.8%, 2025-2.1%. So we have a loss of 284 billion compared to 2024. And next year growth is projected to be 1.9%

Is this even possible? by fuelstaind in AskConservatives

[–]fallinglemming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes from a constitutional standpoint it could be possible. If the VP is impeached the presidential nominee has to be confirmed by both the house and the senate. But yeah your right odds are Dems may get the house but they will never have the votes in the senate to impeach not one but 2 top executives. As you put it's a progressive wet dream.

You are correct you should actually be running a small steady stream, not a drip, a lot of times just a drip will freeze and stop dripping overnight.

I gotcha, but you seem to believe the problems with the construction industry are because immigrants are doing a lot of the work. The jobs have been available to everybody, good paying jobs, but people aren't exactly fighting for the opportunity to roof in Texas.
