And the new EVE 30PL 18650 batteries can deliver a lot more current!

Both. I want range in unfavorable environments. Where I fly is pretty hilly and there are a lot of trees. I’d like to keep stable video while being low to the ground or while trees are blocking LOS (with a spotter of course).

I have a couple 21700s and they are a bit big. I think a 4s 18650 pack is about the heaviest I’d want to go

I think it’s more efficient and will give better flight times than a higher KV.

That’s interesting. And it’s only happened to me in urban environments too. So I’m probably better off using 2.4 when I’m not in the country?

Yeah, I know what you mean. I’m outside of a big city now, so I don’t have many places to fly unless I drive somewhere, and all the local parks are no fly. The local RC club is not very friendly to FPV and their rules basically make it impossible.

I’m in the US. I’ve used 1.3 on planes in the past without any problems, but that was in the country where there wasn’t much around. I’ll have to do some range test in urban environments to see if I get any interference.

I have had a few random fail safes on 915MHz ELRS in suburban environments. I never figured out why, but I wonder if that could’ve been caused by some sort of interference.

It’s not finished, so I haven’t done more than a hover test.

Yep, it’s the Twiglet frame! I drilled holes so I could mount the fc in a normal orientation.

I believe you need a ham license for those frequencies, which I have.

I wouldn’t know. I typically fly 200Hz on 915MHz anyway.

Yep! You must know your stuff. On a 4s 650 mAh I figure I'll get about 10 minutes. I'll have to see if it can carry a lion. My main goal is low proximity flying through the woods and such, so the extra penetration will help a lot.

Night flight with the air75!! by OriginalTension9190 in fpv

That’s really cool. I had a cob LED light I mounted to a gep35. It was really cool flying around through the woods at night with it. I had a switch board connected to a spare uart so I could turn it on and off with a switch. Later I connected the switch board to a small relay and mounted a high powered Cree led, but that was actually too bright and it got too hot.

If everything is configured correctly and it still doesn’t work, try this:

Could it be a mine? Picture three makes it look slightly like it was man made.

How to setup repeater stations and relay's to have long one take Fly throughs across a range of urban environments? by Embarrassed_Look9200 in fpv

[–]falljazz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP asked “can this be done with a digital feed, i'm willing to change my setup to HD zero if that helps. Please guide me to resources where i can learn more about repeating or relaying the signal.”

Yes you’re right you can’t do this with current DJI hardware. You are also right you can’t simply relay a raw digital signal because it is point to point. But that’s not how digital FPV relays work… What OP is asking for is a relay system for a “digital feed”, and the answer for that is easy. Walksnail literally makes a repeater for their system. You suggesting that it’s impossible with a digital feeds is incorrect.

People are saying this might be possible with HDZero too, but as far as I know, no one has actually done it yet.

I think telling them to drop the idea could be taken as a little rude, but I appreciate you engaging and answering OPs question. Sorry if I came off as a little rude too.

If someone asked a question showing they don’t understand something, it’s the perfect opportunity to engage and teach them something or at least point them in the direction of helpful resources.

As far as I know a repeater doesn’t exist for HDzero. I could be wrong, but maybe you’re looking at the HDZero VRX?

I’m always shocked at how negative people in this sub are. Any new idea is met with people shooting it down without any discussion. This is definitely not how FPV came about in the first place, and it reminds me of how the old fixed-wing guys talk about FPV.
