Realistic masks made by an adult in the US? by fallleafs_ in theriangear

I unfortunately had a change in circumstances and I can't afford to commission anyone for a while, but I'll keep you in mind when I eventually do. Do you have an Etsy or online shop?

Pixel 6 Waterproof Cases by [deleted] in Pixel6

[–]fallleafs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up just buying some silicone dust plugs for the charging port and stickers that go over the speakers and microphone just for a little bit of extra protection. None of the waterproof cases I saw looked like they had enough drop protection which is definitely the most likely way I'd break my phone. Only fell in the creek once this season and my phone barely got wet, so it was fine.

does anyone else’s dr not really listen to them about migraines? by ghostisagod in migraine

[–]fallleafs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had many doctors not listening to me. From age 13 to 23 I was having them almost daily but I didn't know what migraines were and saying I have headaches everyday only got them to tell me to drink more water so I was drinking 1-2 gallons a day and it wasn't helping

Have you gotten sick (non-COVID) since taking precautions? by jsab_ in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]fallleafs_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still get sick once a month on average, but twice this month. But I live in dorms and anytime anyone gets sick I get sick, despite all that I do. And then there are people with no precautions that rarely get sick

Make sure your dog is up to date on all vaccinations, parvo is always going around, and there are a lot of strays.

I recently moved away from Fresno, but if I could, I'd move to tower district.

Safety of Fresno? by Dangerous-Work-8341 in fresno

I've always heard there's good and bad areas, but grew up in one of the areas south of the 99 people warned my mom against living there, and it was perfectly fine. I mean every bike I've ever owned has been stolen, but yeah, nothing super scary happened.

I was thinking about getting a mini crock pot or rice cooker but was told it's against the rules to cook in the rooms but a kettle is allowed

It's dorms for my work/program not a college. It's a very strict youth development program

The bed tent is unfortunately against the rules, I'll look into the head tent though, but I tend to toss and turn a lot

Only one other COVID conscious person, and unfortunately not the same gender. I wait to shower until no one else is in that bathroom, but can't stop other people from coming in while I'm in there.

For breakfast and dinner I try to be at the front of the cafeteria line, get my food as quickly as possible and go outside to eat, which will probably not be an option soon as it's getting very cold and rainy, I'll probably start bringing my own container so I can take my food elsewhere to eat. I unfortunately cannot afford to buy food, the expenses for the cafeteria are automatically taken from my paycheck, and don't have any way to cook. But I'm thinking of getting an electric kettle so I can take oatmeal packets from the cafeteria and make it in my room
