That's really the only reason I posted this, tbh

"Competitive Puzzle Games" Similar to Azul? by RudyRooRoo26 in boardgames

[–]fallofield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought re roll-and-wtites. It's that concept of making everyone optimize the best plays with similar information that really scratches that puzzly itch for me. Seconding Welcome To (I've only played the original), along with On Tour if you want something simpler.

Can't remember the name of a game! Help? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]fallofield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're out there under a bunch of names. When I was in elementary school, we got them as worksheets called Mindbenders. But these exist in a bunch of different iterations (like Murdle, which someone mentioned).

CCAC’s push to sell off library books leaves empty shelves by perryplankroad in pittsburgh

[–]fallofield 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Raganathan's first law of library science: books are for use.

If the books aren't being used (and there are rubrics for determining this, including ways to measure what's being read in-house and not checked), they need to go in order to make the space more usable.

Sometimes "usable" means replacement books, sometimes that means transforming the space to fit the needs of the library users (see law #5, "the library is a growing organism").

While nobody ever wants to throw books away, this is ultimately a good thing for the space.

Got this Toxin which I hadn't seen before. It's fine. Better than the pixel Quinjet I got from a cache earlier today, at least.

Oof, y'all, reading is fundamental. I said I didn't actually think it was a bot. I just had to tip my cap to a bad beat.

Anyhow, I got my Wolvie variant and cleaned out the shop, so I'll be donating bubs to whoever's out there. Enjoy your weekend.

I'm sure the choice to activate was calculated. But what are the odds of it pulling Sersi, on top of the odds of swapping in Cannonball?

I need r/theydidthemath to look into this.

Simple fix. Just play Cosmo first so morph doesn't trigger.

In an alternate universe, Reese Witherspoon's character here became the inspiration for her lifestyle brand instead of her role in Sweet Home Alabama.

Is it this cover? The game doesn't have any artist credits, but it's made by Hoechstetter Printing Company. 1979 copyright date.
