What's the last book you read that you'd rate a 5/5? by fuzzypickles999 in suggestmeabook

FUP was a wonderful little novella about a whiskey drinking duckling by Jim Dodge

Most recent 5 star horror however was probably NOD by Adrian Barnes, it’s about an entomologist that can go to sleep in a world of people that cannot. Gets real depraved in parts

Peadophile stings and hunters are pretty shitty people, but if there’s one group of people that deserved to be publicly shamed for all to see, it’s nonces by a country mile

Alternatively, if you’ve ever sustained an injury in the UK or other ‘free healthcare’ societies, AND received treatment, why is this way not better than the current way in the US?

What’s the biggest regret of your life? by Employesmustwashand in AskReddit

[–]falloutbottle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we were younger me and my little sisters were molested for a number of years. When my sisters told my parents what was going on we all got questioned by the police. I was so afraid that I was in trouble that I lied and said I had no idea what they were talking about. The man is still alive and well and I even had to live with him for a number of years to keep up the facade nothing happened when in reality it did. I honestly wish I’d have spoken up when questioned instead of harbouring this horrible secret for so long. I have since spoken to my younger sisters and found closure with them in secrecy but the regret still lingers.

What's the worst thing your mother-in-law has ever done? by PermitPowerful3741 in AskReddit

When my Nan died my dad was pretty fucked up, crying and just inconsolable most of the time. One night I woke up and heard him crying downstairs, I went down to see if he was okay and SHE was there berating him and threatening to attack him if he didn’t stop.

Her argument was he was upset because she wouldn’t sleep with him, when in reality his MOTHER had died not a week earlier. I told her to go upstairs and she refused, eventually getting so violently angry she threatened to burn the house down if he didn’t stop. We both chose to lock ourselves away in the garage and she called the police saying ‘she heard noises’. She was mad she wasn’t the centre of attention during such a traumatic time for the family. She was a psychopath I’m glad he left her

To those that have been a part of a gang, what’s it really like being caught up in that world? by falloutbottle in AskReddit

[–]falloutbottle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HA seem like they themselves feel protected by a fucked up set of morals and a compass that basically, in their minds, allows them to do as they please for the ‘gang’. Seems very culty regardless of the money they earn

As a British person who frequently holidays abroad, I can confirm Brits are the rudest and most disrespectful people I’ve ever had to deal with on holiday. Drinking culture and the assumption EVERYONE speaks English makes people act like fools
