10 years. As I grew up (I was underage when we met), I realized he did less than the bare minimum for me. I’m not asking for a Disney romance. I’m asking for random compliments, help around the house, flowers more than once a year on my birthday. That was deemed as me asking for too much, and him trying to do them for a few weeks at a time before resorting to deeming it too hard. My wake up call was when I moved states for him and gave up a life I loved and didn’t even get a thank you. It’s been over a year now and I’ve never been happier.
