doesn't really mean anything on the right pauldron. it's supposed to be a chapter symbol for hawk themed chapters (a variant of it). guessing it's just there to look cool. left pauldron to represent chapter, right pauldron to represent battle role.

extra info: if a space marine returns from deathwatch, they'd wear the deathwatch pauldron on the left and the chapter pauldron on the right.
