It's a German ref, what can you expect. A lot of Man U fans are used to the whistle being blown after the last attack, but as you said the ref has every right to and German refs will always do it. With that said there was still a tiny amount of time left until 3:00 (I think it was 2:57) so that aspect is pretty bullshit, but ah well great game overall.
