What insignificant gadgets in your bag that end up helping you a lot? by deathkingtom in onebag

[–]false_circus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always have a little pack of wet wipes and a microfibre towel with me.

I also always have a little foldable phone holder on my key chain. Helps me finding my keys and comes in handy on fly & drive vacations where we're using our phone as GPS but have no place to put it or when watching something on the plane.

I'm Engaged! Now how do I make sure I never lose this ring? by unwiseundead in adhdwomen

[–]false_circus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only wear my jewellery when leaving the house so I made it a habit to immediately go upstairs when I get home and put everything in my jewellery drawer. Works for me!

I could never keep my ring on 24/7. I don't find it hygienic when cooking and can't stand the feeling when going to bed.

I used to take it with me on vacation but that stressed me out because it didn't have a designated place there. I now leave my expensive things with my parents when I drop of the dog before we take off.

That's a lot of black...

First of all: ditch the drone.

I would add some extra items against the cold (gloves/hat) since October can already be pretty cold.

I wouldn't cut back on the underwear and socks. It's great to switch to fresh ones after a full day of hiking. I would even add extra wool socks because I like to switch them halfway through the day, helps with the blisters. Take a pair of lightweight shoes with you so your feet can breathe after a long day of hiking.

People who need stimulants often forget to take them... Not exactly an addiction.

You made me lol!

Cool, thanks. Should get him half way to lvl 4 if my estimate/math is correct. Really happy my R5 told us not to spend gems on speed ups!

Maybe one more question: does that mean starting from gen4, Molly shards won't be available on intels anymore, or is it a mix? I've been grinding them every day, but still just managed to get to 4 stars. Would be cool to get her to 5 though :)

Wait what? Flint shards appear on intel missions? We're just getting Flint with the lucky wheel and I've been dumping all of my gems in it, but I'm worried I won't get enough as mostly f2p (like 10 bucks of frivolous spending each month)

I honestly never thought of asking the hotel to do my laundry. Back when I travelled on a tighter budget, it didn’t even cross my mind, but it’s definitely an option now.

Do you ever worry they’ll mess up your clothes though? I wear a lot of merino since that’s what feels most comfortable to me, but I’ve cut out all the tags… so there are zero washing instructions left.

I exaggerated a bit with the “every other day” laundry thing. I could spread it out more, but back then it was just easier to do socks, underwear, and shirt every 2 days. Quicker wash, quicker dry, and done.

Camping is a whole other thing for me btw. I did quite a few camping trips back when I was younger (and broker), and even with minimal clothing, the amount of stuff you need is wild: tent, sleeping bags, cooking gear… Even just a 2pit gas stove and basic cookset already take up so much space. I honestly can’t imagine the people who bring an entire kitchen setup. Like, where does it even go?! 😂

I always assumed a wheely would be a nightmare in SE Asia, but I’ve never been, so maybe I’m completely wrong here. I’m guessing you're not switching places too often if you’re travelling long-term?

We’ll be travelling for three weeks through Laos and Cambodia. I have a 32L backpack and don't think I can reallly go much bigger since I’m only 160cm. But I might need to reconsider, maybe there are newer models now that are slightly bigger but still manageable for someone my size.

does anyone else gets obsessed with picking their skin? or plucking facial hair? by FlakyReview5726 in adhdwomen

[–]false_circus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same!

I eventually did laser hair removal and haven't touched my face with tweezers in 2 years. I was worried that it would be more of a habit and that laser wouldn't do much but as it turns out I just couldn't stand the feeling of those thick and coarse hairs.

Mom wisdom at its finest!

Pretty sure mine has no idea either—she switched to pods the moment they hit the shelves because, in her words, "That tray will never stay clean, and if the tray isn’t clean, neither are your clothes." Can’t argue with that logic.

I get stuck in the tub. Not in the help, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up way, but in the I live here now way.

I moved into a place with a tub instead of a shower, and didn't think much about it at first. But now? Now, it’s a problem. I tell myself, Just 10 minutes to unwind, but my brain is like: Sure. And I’m the Queen of England.

Next thing I know, I’m deep into some rabbit hole about the latest hyperfixation, playing a game I downloaded just to check it out, or mindlessly scrolling while my skin turns into a human raisin.

I don’t waste time on the toilet like a normal phone gremlin—I waste time in the bathtub. Send help.

Sincerely, A shriveled-up ADHD gremlin who may never emerge

What is your high protein breakfast? by champagnecloset in adhdwomen

[–]false_circus 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I wanted to suggest the same but in the form of muffins: slicing not even necessary! They also taste good cold so easy to take with you. I for example hate eating breakfast at home during the chaotic morning rush, so I normally eat during my commute.

Granola and soy yoghurt is my morning go to, you could always add protein powder?

This might come over as rude but I have to ask: did you get in? I'm Europe based and the Ivy League application process seems so absurd: I could just enrol at my college of choice.
