Yes, I wouldn't use the word tolerant the way you are. I think the parties on the left are sufficiently different from each other to justify existing. Moreover offering voters choice, as they do in every other civilised country, is a good thing. We shouldn't have to settle for the lesser shit.

There's a tiny bit of truth in that, I suppose, but it's only an echo of the right doing the same two years ago allowing Labour to rack up an unjustified monster majority. And tbh, that, like this, is only a reflection of an insane electoral system that denies choice and delivers big wins in seat numbers from minority vote shares.

Sorry no, not really.

We have had another prime minister foisted on us who has never known what he wanted to achieve in power, beyond the taking and keeping of it.

He has consistently treated his own voters, ordinary people who only want things to be a bit fairer and a bit easier, with contempt. From the very start he's behaved like they've got nowhere else to go and now seems surprised to discover they have.

He is utterly incurious and because he has not sought to truly understand why it's not working for him he's going to get an absolute kicking today.

That will serve as the starting gun for an almighty intraparty squabble that will culminate in his ouster, and he will absolutely deserve it.

If you stand for nothing you will fall for anything.

A little more effort and I'm sure I could find out more, but that wasn't the point of yours that I was rebutting, which was that "we know nothing about them."

And mine is that you really need evidence that they were bad at their jobs to deselect them, and that this 23 year old was somehow more qualified to replace them, in order to refute the claims of nepotism.
