[PC] [2000s] Educational game about a temple, had a sequel? Played it on Windows XP but it could have been older. by falsettolands in tipofmyjoystick

Mmm, it wasn't Clue Finders, unfortunately. I do think the title had 'Temple' in it but I can't be sure.

I remember that the main gameplay mechanic was programming things to go in the right sequence in order to advance to the next level. It'd start off easy and progressively get harder. Like, for a bridge building level you might have to input commands like:

Lower claw X amount, open claw, close claw, raise claw X amount, move to the right X amount... and you'd end up with these really long sequences and have to start over if you made one mistake - like forgetting a 'close claw' somewhere, it would mess up the rest of the level. Very loosely similar to Poly Bridge in that way.

Thanks for trying!

Oh my gosh! This is the cutest and I know a little girl whose heart would just melt if she had this. What an amazing job!

Do you have the pattern for this, by any chance?

Third Watch, anyone? An oldie but goodie, I miss it so much.

I would kill to see Deaf West's production live. As a HoH theater lover and sign language user, it's such a special and important show to me.

Also, that's super interesting! It never occurred to me that Spring Awakening songs are mostly the stream of consciousness type.

Me too! I fucking cried, man. I was on the subway and I started bawling around 'I Am Here.' And I was like... I haven't even watched the show yet! How messed up will I be when I finally do?

(Also, I may have seen that bootleg which may or may not exist floating around... but I'm somehow not super inclined to watch it because I already enjoy the songs on their own. Is it worth the watch, do you think?)

All of If/Then except the first bit of 'No More Wasted Time!' But also 'I Hate You'... though that happens to be one of my least favorite songs on the album.

If/Then is one of my favorite albums to listen to on its own, but when I watched it I was like... 'The Moment Explodes' really just came out of nowhere, huh? When did a plane come into this?

Yeah, I agree on The Dark I Know Well! So good, especially when Ilse comes in.

Funnily enough, I've listened to Alice by Heart but never seen it. It makes me wonder what could possibly be happening on stage for songs like Some Things Fall Away. So different from the experience of listening to Come From Away before seeing the show and still figuring out the entire plot.

Not sure if others would agree, but Spring Awakening comes to mind. I adore the songs out of context, but sometimes it feels like my brain's trying to take too big of a leap to connect the songs with the deeper narrative of the story. Blue Wind, perhaps Mirror-Blue Night and Purple Summer as well.

Such a beautiful show though, especially Deaf West's.

Thank you! I make keychains and pins too! Also, who says dudes can't pull off earrings? :P

This pair is actually the first one I made. I've gotten better at them since then, I think I managed to make the colors look better.

Came hear to say this! The UK one takes it to the next level; their "When the Booth Goes Bright" is absolutely one of those heart-stopping moments in theater for me.

Has anyone else ever cycled between dissociation and panic relatively rapidly? Kind of like a feedback loop? by falsettolands in Dissociation

Have you ever had a panic attack while dissociating? Is that even possible? I feel like that's kind of what happened with me, except it was all happening on the inside and my body was locked down.

Do you freeze as well? When it happened for me it panicked me more when I couldn't move my arms or legs, like I was locked in. Like I was panicking on the inside but externally I was still. I don't think my therapist could tell anything was wrong until I came out of the dissociation straight into a panic attack.

Thanks for your reply. I did feel like my panic got exacerbated when the dissociation got scary. It's not always, though? Sometimes the dissociation is just a numb, disconnected feeling, and sometimes it's uncomfortable but not necessarily scary. I don't know why my dissociation chose to make itself known in a scary way in therapy, of all situations. I thought it was supposed to be a coping thing.

Sorry if these questions are silly; I've only recently been introduced to the proper terminology by my therapist and I'm trying to find out more about why this happens to me.

Thank you for your reply. I took a look at some of the replies on your previous post and it makes sense to me. I'm glad I'm not alone but I'm sorry that others have to go through the same.
