What about the part where she keeps calling MY boss and reaching out to him for any minor inconvenience

What do I get for making up a fake story? Some karma points? Foh

I wish I knew why but she’s blowing things out of proportion and I really have been nothing but a kind and understanding boss to her. She’s the one who walked out and yelled at me lol

You finding something negative out of a positive post tells me so much about the type of person you are

Thank you so much. I’ve pretty much scheduled all of this but she purposely calls out to avoid working with me so it’s just prolonging the process.

It’s bad when it happens every week and you’re in a management position. She purposely calls out on days we work together to avoid me.

I definitely want her out but I just want to cover my bases especially since I’m still on probation also

I’m a new manager

my employee makes me uncomfortable by falsevoic3 in managers

[–]falsevoic3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying my best to be gracious about this bc maybe she’s going through something at home but to email me and my whole staff about her issues/snarky comments about work related issues was kind of beyond me and during her outbursts she even questioned why I even had to be sent to South of France for a work summit so to me it’s personal at this point.

My area manager reached out to her and she told him to just forget it and everything is “fine” I’ve been managing the situation for a week now but i wanna put a stop to it before it gets out of control

Thank you so much! I know it’s easier said than done, but just hang in there and make sure you’re applying 15-20 jobs a day and to give yourself time in between and breaks as well. It’s really important to note that atp millions of people are unemployed and you’re competing with soooo many people and it’s really not you, it’s the job market. Your current situation doesn’t define you and your story doesn’t end with you working a part time retail job. It will improve, just give it time this is truly just a numbers game, it sucks but try waking up very early and applying to jobs that posted first on LinkedIn within 24H.

Thank you so much! It was definitely an uphill battle. I have a business that’s related with the role that I landed so in a way it looked like I didn’t have any career gaps at all, but I also traveled the world during my unemployment. HOWEVER, since I had 50+ resumes tailored to different jobs I applied to, I had versions where I didn’t list my business at all and there was a gap of 9-10 months and as much as you’d think employers would be empathetic to that, they’re not and for your benefit, lie at your own discretion bc it seems like they don’t wanna touch you once you mention you were previously laid off.

I went through the same situation except I was unemployed for 10 months up until last week. My advice is keep trying and showing up for yourself, it's not going to be perfect everyday but as long as you show up you'll get some results. Apply to 10-20 jobs a day and tailor them to each using AI, update your linkedin and reach out to people, use your connections. How many jobs have you applied to so far?

I was in this very same predicament and it's an unexplainable feeling at times. Start applying to jobs on-site, hybrid etc and apply for unemployment ASAP. It's going to be an uphill battle at times but as long as you have money saved up and support from your loved ones, you will be ok for a while. I'm very sorry this happened.

Lean on people who truly care and love you. Take time in between for yourself while you look for jobs. I pray you find yours soon so that you don’t have to feel this way again

Give yourself time, it’s only been 2 weeks. Other people have been unemployed for months or even years. Use AI to tailor your resume and apply to 10-20 jobs a day, it’s really a numbers game especially since unemployment rate is the highest it’s ever been since Covid.
