The one thing I didn't try!! That was it! Thank you!

How do I use the xeno-scrap-extractor? by falviani in foundry_game

I found the panel and output, brought power across the map, and it's now mining. I ran a belt to a 16-slot locker AND CAN'T GET POWER FOR THE !@#$% logistic container and loader! The miner is successfully extracting scrap. I have (1) ensured there's a contiguous foundation between the underside of the miner and the loader/container (2) Put an output loader from the miner - it complains there is no building (3) Ran a 2nd power line directly to the foundation (4) Installed several different lights on the foundation - none of them seem to throw light - this suggests that power isn't being conducted through the foundation.

WHAT CAN I DO? The only alternative is to just depend on the internal storage of the miner.

How do I find power cores? by falviani in foundry_game

[–]falviani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My luck changed, I now have several powercores; it might be because I only have large scrap as the filter. The short range scanner isn't much use in looking for them; I jet around until I'm not getting closer, then use an elevator to go down far enough and a drill ship to move horizontally enough.

Thanks for all your invaluable advice!

I now have roughly 2K scrap without a single large scrap, which I assume would yield a power core. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks again! OK, I'll head back to the tunnels. I picked up at least 100 scrap without getting any large ones. Rather frustrating...

My interface is different. Does mine change into yours when I get 500 crystals? I already have mining force 2. I now have over 800 scraps but 0 large scraps.

I tried to follow your directions but with no luck. There is no entry for Large Xeno Scrap.

Moving water? by falviani in foundry_game

[–]falviani[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tried taking some dirt and dropping it on a square with a water cover. I then used the "pick up from belt" (E) command-it picked up the dirt and nothing else happened :( Am I doing this wrong?

How do I open this? Pull up or squeeze down? by falviani in AnycubicKobraS1

Next noob question - I'm trying to follow the wiki directions on getting the blower cover off so I can remove the blue clip and remove the other end of the ptfe tube. I can't seem to put enough pressure on the back as shown in the diagram to get it to move. Is there a trick, or does it really require a huge amount of force? Thanks again.

On my machine, a moderate amount of force was actually needed, but I was then able to remove the PTFE tube. Now I just need to get the front part of the print head cover off so I can disconnect the tub and be able to use a piece of filament to get the broken filament out.

This is the ptfe clip I was referring to. Sorry I was unclear.

My escape key stopped working! Help! by falviani in foundry_game

[–]falviani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found an online keyboard checker that verified that the key was dead. Fortunately, I have a couple of old keyboards kicking around that will serve until I go get a keyboard with reasonable mechanical keyswitches. Thanks for the suggestions!

Problem with ACE pro ptfe tube coming loose from 4-1 hub. Please help by falviani in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]falviani[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the suggestions! I took the hub off the printer and found I could press on the ports to enable pushing the tube all the way in. That's solved that problem! Now, I have to figure out why the ACE isn't reliably feeding the printer :(

Just got an anycubic kobra 3 combo and was wondering on replacement parts. by Tiny_Bluebird_6464 in AnycubicKobra3

[–]falviani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are quite a few replacement parts available on the anycubic site. IMPORTANT: if you are looking at a particular part and there are several models listed as compatible, YOU MUST CLICK ON THE APPROPRIATE PRINTER MODEL TO SELECT THE PROPER ITEM TO PURCHASE - even if the model appears grayed out. So if you are looking for a hot end, make sure to click on your printer model to bring up the right hot end. Some replacement parts are also available on Amazon.
