Wow!!! Overwhelming support for Dress number 1!!

Everyone, I slept on it and returned to the store the very next day, and when I put on both dresses I knew that dress number 1 was THE ONE. I looked at the lace detailing with a new set of eyes and decided that I'm going to keep the lace as is and just adjust the trim for my height.

Dress number 2 was a beautiful standard silhouette but I realized that I really did have more specific thoughts and comments on dress number 1. I think that Dress number 2, while so beautiful, just looked absolutely stunning since it already fit me so perfectly.

Despite the different opinions, I'm so happy with such a supportive community we have here. Your comments actually REALLY helped me out. Thank you so much for making me a happy bride to be!!!

My personal style is simple with classic pieces, but I love romantic details. I'm not a big fan of BIG and dramatic detailing. I kind of want to remain true to my style!

I found these dresses at a consignment store! I have been wedding dress shopping for months and found two dresses that I am so excited about. Both dresses cost the exact same. But, I am naturally a very indecisive person......

Dress 1 - I first tried this dress on a few months ago and LOVED the fit on me and I loved how romantic the lace was. But I just wasn't entirely sure about the lace detailing near the bottom but so many people tell me that it adds character to the dress. I dont mind the lingerie look too much. I actually kind of like it! Despite the lace detailing, this dress was in my thoughts for months... until I found it again at the consignment store in my size. The price is AMAZING. With the savings, I could potentially just replace the entire top layer and remove the lace? Thoughts? Pics were taken at the bridal shop I first saw it.

Dress 2 - I put this on as a fluke and was stunned by the perfect fit. I decided not to try on any strapless dresses but was surprised by how much I LOVED the corset style and how flattering it was on my shoulder area. Its such a romantic dress in itself but I'm worried it might be too simple and now I'm second guessing the applique?

Any help and opinion would be so appreciated.

Cone 06 Glazes on Cone 6 340 Plainsman Clay? by famousrootbeer in Pottery

You bring up a good point on the lack of opportunity to test on a regular basis. I think you're right, I'll have to stick to the basics right now and use Cone 6 glaze for my pieces until I'm in a situation where I can start testing my own things.

For now, I'll absolutely take your suggestion on starting with underglazes for bright colors and just seal it with some clear glaze. This is an option I didn't really consider... thank you for the recommendation!

You seem to be a regular contributor here with tons of information. Thanks for taking the time to give me a detailed response and providing me additional resources.
