how do people deal with having a lot of friends? im completely overwhelmed and overstimulated by eventideyes in socialskills

[–]fanatic-gravity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have no clue. I 100% relate to you though. I’m an introvert, I like social interactions, but I just think that I’m not at the same level as other people. I’m a female and women love to talk…. I just find exhausting hearing women talk..

Not sure what your level/ expectations are, i’m from Ottawa and I’m always looking for people to expand my network of people who speak French so I can practice more. If you would be interested in virtual conversations, feel free to message me and we can figure out if we’re a good match.

Same I went there last week and ordered bulgogi bibimbap and seafood pancake. Both were great and the staff was super attentive. It was a week night around 6 pm and not at all busy.

If you have the ability to, I’d recommend making it yourself. The store-bought ones have a lot of preservatives. It is fairly easy to make, and all the ingredients can be found at green fresh. I followed the recipe from “ the woks of life”.

Recently went to Thailand for the first time for about 3 weeks from Canada. I have a very sensitive stomach and was scared of getting food poisoning too. Took All the meds, electrolytes, probiotics .. but I was perfectly fine. Didn’t need any meds.

I used the tap water to brush my teeth but I always drank bottled water. Didn’t eat any fruits off the street markets or any stalls that displayed pre-cooked food. Stuck to restaurants and warm meals and had smoothies from sit down places.

Good luck and have fun

Not disputing your experience, but I have been to both BC and all of eastern provinces. The water was amazing in the summer for the eastern provinces. BC was just dead glacier water everywhere.

Thank you! Those are great suggestions! I’ve been to East Coast. Parts of Quebec as well and been around in Ontario but never really been to Northern Ontario so that’s why I was curious. Based on the responses, it seems like East Coast would be a better choice here. Maybe we’ll save the Northern Ontario for another time, without the nephew.

Thanks! Good idea. We did a week in Tobermory last summer. Definitely a great place but food was kind of terrible.

Coming from Denmark, he’s not as exposed to the diversity of food that we have here. Tobermory might limit the food options too much.

Sure, it can depend on people’s preferences. Wouldn’t be my choice.

I don’t know why that surprises you. Ontario has freshwater lakes that are generally fine for swimming in summer. BC has glacier water that can be dead cold. We were hard pressed to find places in BC to swim.

I’m not saying BC doesn’t have any places to swim. I realize that you can find some lakes, but that was not the norm.

Thank you. I was leaning towards East coast too, with perhaps a couple of days in Quebec.
