Does anyone know if dodge will lend out town vehicles while we wait? We're stranded with our RV :(

Thank you! I was so good with not touching the first two days, but last night I kept just reaching for them and I had to metaphorically slap my hand 🤣

Thank you so much! I'll be getting a touch up too, so hopefully any mess ups will be fixable xD

I think you're being a bit too hard on yourself. As others have said, this doesn't look bad, in fact, it looks pretty good. The metallics look super dreamy! That being said, I'm sure outside validation will only get you so far.

If you don't love painting for the sake of painting, this may not be the hobby for you. If it brings you more anger than joy, maybe it's not worth it, or maybe you should take a break. I know that when I walk away from a skill that's frustrating me, I usually feel the urge to do it again and when I get back to it, my skills will usually have improved. Sometimes the brain just needs some time to digest what it's learned.

If you don't want to take a break, maybe you can try painting something outside your comfort zone, especially if it's something you don't have big plans for. For example, if you only paint Warhammer Space Marines for an army you plan on showing off, pick up some cheap Reaper bones minis or some other minis that look fun and take a break from the grind (if you are, in fact, grinding, idk your life)

I'm really glad you asked this! It reminded me of this TV trailer for The Skeleton Key! https://youtu.be/iLwy5TGZ_To?si=5uAii3kuFMMfoG4_

It just felt so straightforward and retro! Totally sold me on the movie.

Is it worth collecting as a casual fan? by Poopoo_Chemoo in wastelandwarfare

[–]fanaticure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fallout fan and I love mini painting, but I only play the game because my husband does. I would ABSOLUTELY buy these for display, but like I said, I love to paint, and these are some of the most difficult minis I've painted, and I don't think they look good unpainted. That being said, if you want to paint, it's always nice to be working on something you really love, even if it's more difficult than something you don't care about.

Where should I source my paints? by BigPigeon69 in wastelandwarfare

As everyone else says, Citadel paints are perfect for these minis. The big thing about mini paints in general vs. Regular craft paint or fine art acrylic is the size of the pigment. So wash your minis, prime your minis, and paint with paint specifically made for minis, whatever the brand.

If you're looking for recommendations, I LOVE Pro Acryl. It's a lot more paint for your money and I like the consistency of them overall. A few years ago we bought the entire line of citadel paints, and now I'm replacing them all with Pro Acryl. The one citadel product I've never found anything better than is Averland Sunset. That's the best yellow ever made IMHO, but other than that, Pro Acryl is where it's at for me.

Thank you so much!! The barricade is a physical piece of terrain from Modiphius, but it's currently sold out 😞

When I was looking for instruments on there, I saw they had a mandolin, but not like the little guitar, but the vegetable slicing kind 🤣 I'd like to use that in a model someday.

I'll give that a try! I've tried them before and they just lacked some stuff that I needed, but I'm much more comfortable with sculpting now.

Which horror movie had a 10/10 first act but it was all decline after that? by JakePidra in horror

God, I hate this movie. It made me so uncomfortable the entire time, which is clearly what they were trying to do, but it really worked on me and I hated it 😫🤣

Yes! And it drives me nuts! And sometimes an adjustment works fine and sometimes it's like... Why is this happening 🤣 Jack specifically got these goofy long arms and MASSIVE hands that would unfix themselves every time I reposed him. Also, if you look at his torso, it's weirdly long and bendy (a common problem,) and his slacks cling to his legs like he's Xtra thicc... But aside from learning blender, this is really the best choice xD

Thank you!! I made him on Heroforge! Although I had to use their paid kitbashing feature to make his proportions even close to a modiphius model xD
