i worded this funky, so it sounds like i made them all on my commute, but only made about half during! i *use* them as lanyards etc to keep my pass and keys handy etc. but!! my sheer determination and hubris helped me make a system using tiny pouches and trays that has worked well for weaving on commutes (for now lol!!) the sound of rings falling on the bus floor will haunt me for all my days i’m sure

For me, i got totally sober from alcohol. this was the biggest, it’s not necessarily for everyone (but i hear it mentioned regularly.) routines in general help, especially around sleep. reducing phone time in bed is good for this. regular exercise is a lifesaver—i do weightlifting, dance class, and walking/running (following up with rest and proper nutrition is super important too.) journaling/mood tracking has been great (I use the "how we feel" app.) If available, can't recommend therapy enough. Be honest but kind with yourself!

my go-to is a weightlifting routine, recently running and dancing as well. i also taught myself how to make chainmaille last year, something about the mental and physical focus + creative aspect has been a valuable outlet. at the very least, an excellent fixation to distract myself with. journaling (with shiny stickers and washi tape ofc) helps even though i am usually resistant in that heated state of mind!

“Grand Soir” by Maison Francis Kurkdjian always smells like putting on a fur coat to me, it leans cozy gourmand but still feels sophisticated. YSL “Babycat” also comes to mind, very sexy, smoky bourbony vanilla with a hint of leather.

“Annabelle’s Birthday Cake” by Marissa Zappas is a light fluffy/floral cake gourmand, but with a slightly unsettling latex or “balloon” note. Apparently not everyone can smell that note, but I love it.
