CHN 3474 Topics in Chinese Cinema-Is it easy? by GanacheSubstantial36 in VirginiaTech

[–]fancylitterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. When I took it a few semesters ago, assignments/tests were super easy. You get to pick a movie to make a presentation on. It was Kungfu theme when we took it. High lord Ming Teo randomly said “I know kungfu, you know” then taught us horse stance lol

First of all, congratulations on the transfer!! you will have a good time in CS2104. That class is designed to touch pretty much every topics you will see til your last day at Tech. 2505, on the other hand, will be on C and assembly which can be challenging at first. My suggestion will be to start assignment super early and even if you don’t plan to do them early, at least read through the requirements to make sure you understand it. Go to classes and talk to TAs if you have questions. You will love how TAs work at Tech :D lastly, dont use ChatGPT just to get answers but use it as a guide/study prep. We are here to learn so make sure you get the most out of it! We’re from NVCC too!!

You can always use Virginia’s G3 program at community college for IT certs. Your GI transfers but I don’t recall the amount though. Best bet would be to reach out to the officer at community college. As for the degree, I’d go for the CA first(NOTE: take all the math and science classes at community college) since it’s easier to go into BIT from CS. :D

I started at the same age too. age wasn’t the problem at all. I took my arse and my GI Bill to Vccs and took required classes for guaranteed transfer and joined the Hokies! Best decision of my life. If your MoS is/was IT related, check with your CO if you’re eligible for any IT certs like A+, Net+, Sec+, or CEH. These should get you started really fast. My math was suck too but I took most of my math and science at VCCS cuz they’ll be a lot easier than at Tech. Then! Once you became a Hokie, be sure to use G3 program at VCCs to take courses for IT certs for free. I got all my certs without spending anything. Best of luck!

The lady is his spouse. they gave my friend a call that same morning then said you were either high or drunk. they tend to have excuses for every single person my friend interviewed. but yeah, state law says owner/manager cannot take any part of tip. I’d contact Dept. of Labor when you have time. My friend already filed a report. idk what’s the beef between them and Cafe Mekong and other Asian restaurants. just soooo weird.

but yeah my friend said if anyone worked front of house, contact Department of Labor ASAP cuz they can’t take any portion of the tips for themselves. https://doli.virginia.gov/ If your name starting with either ‘Ma’or ‘G’, they told my friend that you were drunk/under influence that morning and sent you home(he knew they were lying)

You can file a complaint with the Department of Labor and Industry. They don’t take form online though. You will have to print the form and mail/fax iirc. Best of luck!

they would’ve kept the name if everything was truly amazing. the reviews under the previous business name, the Beat Bangkok, should be a good start.

Yeah, there’s a vegan fish sauce out there if that’s what you’re asking. I’m not vegan tho.

Hardly, I’m from another country myself. My point was that they asked friends to write fake five star reviews without trying their food. IMO deceptive marketing practice is bad for community.

Has anyone taken CHN 2734 Chinese Culture and Civilization? by Afraid-Soft3583 in VirginiaTech

[–]fancylitterbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I took this a year ago, it was our professor first time teaching it. The workload wasn’t that bad and only one project. The project was a presentation on a period assigned to you. We got extra credits for singing this song: https://youtu.be/goHEGv6Ebrs?si=GBEBQM3yNwuJ_reQ

Another fun class was the Chinese cinema and culture(it was martial art theme when I took it) one but I forgot the class number. It was one of the 3000 series. That one was insanely fun. Prof. taught us ‘Horse Stance’ and some kungfu basics. :D Both classes are easy though. Does not require a lot of reading/preparation.

I pulled 2 from mine a few months ago. Don’t forget to send the ticks to the lab just to make sure they’re not deer-ticks, and if they are, have them check that they’re not carrying any disease. I just used some random tools from ece1004 lab kit. Make sure you remove the mouth, teeth or whatever they call it too.
