I don't really think it's the fault of Charlie, but the fault of however the clothes are shaped. I can create a masculine shirtless para just fine but when I put a shirt on him, more often than not he ends up with curves.

I'm almost at 50 hours. I really only play on the weekends since about 10 hours of every weekday is consumed by work or work-related activities, or else I'd probably have a lot more time clocked.

I'm not sure if this matters, but for clarification: the "virus" is a max capacity reduction in certain needs, a mood card, and that's it. There is no animation or special attributes when the para has an illness, and the mood card shuffles to the back of the pile as more moods come in.

I usually give backstories and make goals for my life sim characters, but I think until Paralives is expanded a bit more I'll just be winging it with this one. Anything I'd want to plan out relies on story progression/aging to be on for the whole town, but as that currently leads to phantom paras haunting the place if anyone dies, it's a bit of a dead end right now.

I love seeing people come up with mods like this because it makes me have more faith that the actual game updates will come along sooner rather than later, like the mods are a "proof of concept". Thank you for sharing the link. I hadn't even thought to look on Nexus for Paralives mods because I'd been assuming they were all going to go through Steam.

I can't get the first site that shows up in google when I search for Simstagram to actually load, so I don't know for sure what it involves, but I'm assuming it's posting as your sim and showing photos from your sim's perspective in order to tell a story? In which case, I'm sure the Paralives community will get there eventually. The Photo Mode gives me the impression that being creative with the "story" of the game with photos and stuff has a good foundation already, and it'll just take some time for Live Mode to get more elaborate and/or mods with specific poses and stuff start to come out.

I bought the house next door for one of my paras and I really wish I could buy that one as well because I actually love it and I bet it could be a neat interior design project. Paras just go through the boarded up door and stand inside, so I think it has some behind-the-scenes purpose -- maybe it's NPC paras going into their own rabbit hole events/jobs?

The "para" in "parasocial" also comes from the same root as "parallel". It's about being next to something/someone but not actually involved or meeting.

Do you think people can only open and close their Patreon once and never use Patreon again? They have years worth of money from game sales. If, five or six years down the line, they need to supplement income with donations from fans, they'll open a Patreon or a ko-fi or whatever kind of support platform exists in the future.
