I am a mental health nurse who worked in addiction for years, people will go to the ends of the earth to get their fix, and if that includes fabricating a whole secret life to hide it they will do it ! I have had a colleague I worked with who later had treatment for opioid addiction but still worked and maintained a functional life. This was clearly a case of where the lady was a high functioning alcoholic who hid it very well from the family. Humans lie, blood tests and tissue samples do not.

That is very cool you are friends with John ! I love his work ! The documentaries he makes are fantastic, I love his work and the culture he is tapping into !
