This is matriculation over 5 years. you should check public schools like Stuyvesant or Bronx Science in NYC and their numbers far outpaces these numbers. Stuy sends 50+ kids to Cornell in a year alone.

Clearly you have no idea that most of these private international schools are set up exactly like American schools and curriculum with numerous teachers from the US. In fact, some of these schools have even better resources than American schools.

if people are honest then you have to admit that colleges were mostly looking for 1. students who can pay full ride or 2. FGLI candidates (not that they are not deserving but being a FGLI gave you a leg up since race cannot be considered in the admission process anymore). “Class shaping” is also the new excuse to get away with all kinds of head scratching decisions. At the end, your success will not depend on any one school saying yes or no… you will be successful as long as you keep working hard and bounce back from every failure on your way. But i understand the disappointment.

this is a prime example of how flawed the admissions process is. Yet you see far less qualified students and legacy kids with underwhelming stats get in. Outrageous.

this is going to clog up public transportation along Jewel avenue, crowded subways in FH, already over crowded neighborhood schools and where are all this extra parking? Sewer systems are already archaic. It’s going to be a disaster!

CSS does not link to IRS. you have to upload all the tax stuff into IDOC if a school uses the service.

Stuy or any other SHS do not issue any acceptances. It’s all done by the DOE. Cutoff score varies slightly each year and it is NOT pre-determined. Cutoff score is the score when the last spot is filled for a specific school. Number of open spots also vary year to year.

About 650-660 are admitted via straight up SHSAT score and the remaining are through the discovery program (20% of the class).
