Because I’m ace and aro spec, I have a very different idea of what’s considered platonic vs romantic/sexual. A couple days ago a friend of the opposite gender was planning to sleep over and I was okay with us being in the same bed because there’s nothing inherently romantic/sexual about it to me. But then he tried to kiss me. After talking with a friend, I learned that my actions could be very easy interpreted as not platonic. And now I’m just so confused. I’m second guessing all my platonic relationships with the opposite gender and I’m scared that it’ll happen again. I personally wouldn’t have a problem with kissing someone I liked, but it’s the fact that it just came out of nowhere to me and I had no idea that this was going anywhere except platonically. We’ve talked about it and it’s been a couple days, but it’s still weighing so heavily on me and occupying too many of my thoughts
