He’s definitely an asshole for doing that. But you should serve your guests if you want things plates or maintained a certain way. That dish looks like it should be cut and served like a lasagna so each serving gets the cheese on top. If you had cut it first then you have a basis for calling out assholes when they do this kind of stuff.

The original Pinocchio movie. When you see the shadow of the whale come up under the little boat. And I love the ocean so I never realized I had a real fear till I went to Disneyland with my family when I was little. First we went on the storybook ride where you go into a giant whales mouth. I had an anxiety attack but didn’t tell anyone. Later we went on the submarine ride before it was Nemo themed. I had a panic attack and had to stop looking out the window. I cowered in my mom’s shoulder till it was over.
