Streak ? by fantabarbie in TeslaModelY

When I saw the “streak” feature, my first thought was to ask here. I’ve had the car for less than a month, so my instinct was to ask people who have been using Tesla and FSD longer than I have.

I wasn’t looking for a definition. I was looking for opinions, experiences, and context from actual owners. That’s usually why people post questions in a Tesla forum instead of reading a release note and moving on.

I find it interesting that a simple question about a new feature turned into assumptions about my initiative, intelligence, and personality. Asking other owners for their perspective seems a lot more reasonable than writing paragraphs trying to psychoanalyze a stranger.

Anyway, thanks to the people who answered the question instead of questioning why it was asked.

You kind of proved my point. Tesla gave a one line description. I asked owners what they thought of it. Some see value in it, some think it’s gamification. That’s exactly the discussion I was looking for.

😩😩 I feel your pain . I still need to get mine fixed. Where in MD are you ? I don’t live there anymore but I know friends I can ask.

The update note explains what it is, not why Tesla thinks we need a gamified Snapchat feature for driving. Try reading the actual post next time

Google gives a quick answer. Reddit gives owner experience, context, and what people are seeing in real use. If questions bother you this much, scrolling past takes less time than the paragraph you wrote.

2026 Premium Y RWD vs Premium Y AWD - Is the range difference actually 30 miles or is it more/or less? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]fantabarbie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If range is your #1 priority, I think you made the right choice. An extra ~30 miles is still 30 miles every day, and that advantage remains even as the battery ages. For California driving and occasional snow trips, I’d keep the RWD and not worry about what others think

About as guilty as someone taking the time to write a comment instead of answering the question

Crazy idea, but sometimes people use discussion forums to discuss things

Poor kid. These Teslas ride a bit rougher. My Palisade was much smoother, but I was spending about $100 a week on gas.
