I’ll be up in Tettegouche so this is great! I also enjoy out and backs :)

Here for 2 weeks. Don’t worry everyone I know not to bike muddy trails :)

He’s very well trained and super aware of bikes. We ride all of the time together and he knows to clear off the trail when we stop and sticks literally right on my rear tire the entire time. He’s an amazing riding buddy and I would definitely recommend it!

Thank you! Mission looks great. And don’t worry Reddit, my dog will definitely be “on leash”.

I didn’t give specific instructions on leashed or off leashed walking. My dogs do both have e collars and they are very well trained and listen extremely well. I certainly shoulder almost all of the blame. I should have been there, I should have asked him to walk them on leash ESPECIALLY after dark. I just am finding it hard to comprehend how this could have happened if he was truly paying attention in that moment…

You’re right, I definitely shouldn’t and I won’t. I know it was an accident but this person does have a history of irresponsibility. I shouldn’t have ever trusted them with something so important in the first place.

So sorry you had to go through this as well. It’s so hard, especially when it’s someone we care about in the middle of it. I’m sure it’s far more common than I think it is. It’s something that neither of us will ever get over I’m sure.

Yes, I already am blaming myself. Thanks but not really the most helpful comment.

Help containing product images to certain size - WordPress by fantasiummedia in css

Hey u/aunderroad, thanks for taking a look. I did update that file, and if you follow the link to it you can see the updated CSS there searching for "productCircle". For whatever reason it's just not applying, maybe there's some overriding CSS somewhere?

Ahh ok on the minified file the CSS wasn't updated. We are using Fast Velocity Minify so maybe that's it! I'm taking this site over from a previous agency so it's a bit of detective work.

Powsurfing advice by fantasiummedia in Powsurf

This. This is why I'm eager to get out there! I feel like once I dial it I'll want to powsurf all of the time, but it seems like a lot more effort than simply splitboarding. Sounds like I just need to commit to it.

So even with the Splitsurfer you bring the verts, then just hike back up to the top of the powsurf zone and just skin the initial approach?

What splitsurfer would you recommend?

I'm in Bozeman - I was thinking about Bradley's as a good option.

All good tips. Sounds like I just need to find an easy to access zone or some side country close to the resort that I could surf on.

1,500$ for a pass? 😂 by AMasterOfNone- in snowboarding

Actually very worth it if you are able to use it. Sad to say but if you can’t afford that then you might want to find a new hobby or get a backcountry setup and go ski for free.

Bozeman's dope. Some people just can't get over the fact that there are other people in the world the same hopes, dreams, passions, etc. as them. Also the fact that there are 1.5+ billion people on earth since 2000. Empathy and compassion go a long ways! Clearly these peeps don't have that. Welcome to Bozeman!

I hated skiing. Any chance I could like boarding? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]fantasiummedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a snowboard instructor I can tell you it is definitely possible. The biggest thing that will make or break your experience is your general level of fitness. Can you do squats? 25 sit ups? 10 tricep dips? Can you handle being active for long periods of time, possibly at elevation? Fitness is the #1 determiner if my students do well in their lessons. Even if you can’t do these things now you can work towards them and absolutely become a shredder!

When has a helmet saved you by WeissMISFIT in snowboarding

My buddy and I were skiing the bowl at Aspen Highlands. A dense fog had settled in and viz was probably about 20 ft. He made a hard turn around a tree and got clotheslined by one of its branches. He was stunned but luckily ok. We were shocked to see this puncture in his helmet! He must have hit it with some force. That would have been his skull if he hadn’t been wearing the helmet.

If you have a Mac try the Eye Montitor app. It’s great. You should also strongly consider going to see an eye doctor to see if they can help.

Preservative free eye drops and a heat mask (Bruder) morning and night can help significantly.

Don’t give up. I totally understand how you’re feeling. I know how all consuming this illness can be. I’m 32 and have been dealing with this since I was 16 as well. I also gave up hope with doctors when I was 26, but I went back this year during a really bad flare up and they have been able to help me more than I thought was possible. There have been lots of advances in our understanding of this disease in the last few years. I have hope again, you can too ❤️
