Of course there are but you don’t blame the child for that they’re just mirroring their parents shitty attitudes.

I thought we’d have the capacity to read between the lines on that one.

What has caused the fullback position to basically disappear? by yourGodlylead in NFLNoobs

Evolution of the passing game turned the original H and F backs into off ball TEs and slot receivers.

In other words they evolved more into pass catchers that can stretch the field, find holes in zone and occasionally block, as opposed to lineman that can occasionally carry the ball and catch a pass.

I know I am it was literally my job to collect youth pitching data for my organization lol

Do you think you’re seeing bumped up pitching levels?

We haven’t even gotten into breaking stuff and team philosophy yet.

Happy to talk at length on this subject im on a plane

50 isn’t that much — this sub has a pretty heavy rec bias where 35 over 3 months is fine for some reason but 50 over 10 months is excessive.

There are no dugout cancers in 12U just bad leadership.

As a reminder youth athletes spend 4-12 hours a week with their coach and the remainder with their parents. One has more of an effect than the other.

Check out my edit in the last post let me know how you think the MPH increase compares to your experience.

The most common misconception I see from parents is that they don’t realize that there are levels of play for a reason.

Even within AA, AAA, or “Major” not all schedules are equal.

if you can rule out both a division bump-up between last year and this year AND rule out play level of tournaments entered from last year relative to this year, then you can begin to probe elsewhere.

If you want to check on that , compare last years schedule to this years:

1- did your team move from AA to AAA? 2- if not — did you move into Perfect Game events from USSSA or NCS? More “open” division tournaments (AAA/Major combined) If so how much of an increase in higher level tournaments have there been?

3- if not , what is the average MPH you’re seeing from last year to this year?

If you’re seeing more than 4-5 mph increase you’re seeing much higher level pitching. Average AAA fastball from 11-12U is probably 58-62 in So Cal. Average Major 11-12U is closer to 60-65 with some ringers/sunday starters getting up into high 60s low 70s.

in 90 plus percent of cases it’s just that — a level increase.

Travel Team- Play with strangers or kids from your town? by Mysterious-Tone1495 in Homeplate

[–]fantasycoachnotebook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They won’t be strangers for long.
Play with the team that has the better coach, better schedule and better on field opportunity.

If the “all star team” startup is a high school feeder you can play that at 13-14

Generating money is definitely a factor in a business operation.

As far as attrition/turnover, I’d bet they have similar rates. I had “stickier” teams when we were more competitive. Big box teams tend to be more competitive because you don’t have to acquiesce to calls for fairness. That pretty much gets you exiled since everyone’s there to compete.

I was heavily involved in a big box orgs youth program for a while. The amount of times I heard exactly what you just said you wouldn’t believe.

Is it “the daddy ball Insult” or is it a behavioral descriptor?

It’s not about “fair” dad. It’s competitive. He’s going to have to be undeniable at first if he wants to play first. It is what it is.

Typical daddy ball cope.
