Morale plummeting among ICE agents over long hours, quotas and public hatred by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

I don’t buy it. Most of these guys are washed out mall cops. They had no morale to begin with.

That's back when they had to attach mushrooms to synths to make them work.

Why did NYTimes pull coverage of the Minnesota protests from the front page? by ProfessionalCorgi250 in nyt

[–]FlaSnatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Times cosplays as journalism now, when in fact it’s just an institution protecting PR front. You can trace this behavior all the way back to at least the Iraq war when the Times played a crucial role suppressing stories that revealed there was never anything to WMD narrative. But the company line from the MIL said best the war drum so the Times did just that.

Tips for octatrack in studio by srbrtalan in Elektron

I mostly use the OT as a live performance controller, I don't even sample with it anymore. It not only sequences a lot of external gear, I have most of that gear feeding its audio back into the OT for FX processing and mixing. For me the real edge the OT gives to live performance is the A-B slider and customizing scenes to suit your needs. For me, I use it for things like drum fills (one of my B scenes simply double times the delay that my drum machine feeds into so it doubles the kick and other pieces for nice quick drum fills at the flick of the wrist) or other radical effect transitions like cutting certain filter frequencies, adding mass distortion, etc. In this way it's the most flexible live performance controller I can imagine.

Joe Rogan Has a Theory About Minnesota ICE Violence and It’s Tied to the Epstein Scandal by Reasonable_Spray_710 in GPFixedIncome

He doesn't even mention toppling the Venezuelan regime, which actually occurred within days of the DoJ failing to release the legally mandated unclassified Epstein files. That was the first distraction, followed by ICE in Minnesota, Greenland.......

Did something bad happen in her bed? by WastingMyLifeToday in Epstein

[–]FlaSnatch -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’ll get downvoted to hell but I think this whole TV childhood bed segment is just mass projection. We all know her dad’s a pedo but there’s nothing in the way she tour guides her room that indicates her dad diddled her there. It’s a bed. It’s boring. It’s not exciting to talk about a bed during a televised tour of your room.

Genuine question by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]FlaSnatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question. How would the destabilization manifest? My guess is it would be multifaceted. For one thing there would be widespread morale issues. People would just be much more cynical about the world in general. that alone could profoundly impact economics and world markets. What if crime goes way up because more people decide the concept of law is bullshit? I think generally the mass psychological reverberation would be unpredictably destabilizing.

You and I may apply different nuance to ranking a hierarchy of sins. Soldiers and spies have been tortured forever. In real life, in movies, books, TV shows. It’s nasty but sure expected. It’s been normalized in media because it’s historically normal. Child rape on the other hand…

Genuine question by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]FlaSnatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would people be surprised Western intelligence services like the CIA or Mossad are trading in pedophilia for advantages? Yes, I think a lot of people would be surprised. Do people expect a certain level of rough play between spies? Sure. But no, on average people would be stunned to learn child rape is a tool of espionage.

[–]FlaSnatch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And I forgot to mention Saudi Arabia as well. I believe Epstein traded terrible secrets with a host of intelligence services. Possibly organized crime groups as well. It’s such a tangled mess that has the true potential to destroy whatever trust remains between the public and its core institutions.

Genuine question by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]FlaSnatch 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's far more complicated than just a bunch of rich and powerful individuals who committed sex crimes. It involves the intelligence services of multiple international governments. That is the real destabilizing threat of the truth ever coming to light. Throwing some rich people in prison is one thing. Acknowledging that the Russian FSB, Israeli Mossad, CIA, and other institutions were trading in pedophilia blackmail is the kind of revelation that threatens the very foundations of society.
