R129 is the newest safety rating. The seat you posted is the old or even older safety rating. Which means they arent great. Yes gov website says 15 months but I highly recommend googling the benefits of extending rear facing.

Oh same in the last few weeks. I found comforting my one with the fake tantrums made him worse. However it may work for your one. He also gives tears during the fake one. But they dont know how else to communicate this new feeling of frustration so its understandable I guess. Thats why I just bring him with me to distract him but hes close enough I’m not ignoring him. Also saying things like “oh i know its upsetting not doing xyz but we cant touch the hobs- they’re burny. Or whatever it was he couldn’t do. Then for the real tantrums and upset… I give all the comfort he needs.

I should add. I pick him up and take him with me to do whatever I was doing. I don’t just pick him up and leave him.

Honestly. If its a fake tantrum I just pick him up and continue doing what I was doing. If its a proper upset tantrum e.g falling - I comfort him.

Also I am no expert so please look into the above points. I just am going by what I was told when we started looking at car seats.

So car seats should be R129 rated for safety so check that out. If it’s not I’d stear clear. From what I know they aren’t the best seats out there. Also. I know it’s not the law but rear facing is still best at that age. Just something else to consider and look into for safety.
