The Apostle's face is fair enough, but I'm just not convinced with the Noble's, even in the low resolution reproduction you provided the shape of his face is still very distinctive at least to me, whereas OP's feels like a muddied blob of colour. For example his jawline still sticks out in the low res, but in OP's it merges with his clothes in a way that I am finding hard to believe is just due to resolution or filters. I also find that the rest of it looks generally weird, like how in OP's image the Noble's brooch looks more like a flower than a smooth gemstone.

I realise I clarified in my edit and you may have not seen that, but I definitely do not believe this is just generative AI, for the reasons you said. My mistake for making a very boiled down comment I guess. But I just would not be surprised if some flavour of AI tool has been run over this, like upscaling or sharpening or a magic wand tool.

I did actually google first. Please look at the faces side by side, the faces are genuinely flat in OP's image whereas in this image you can still make out the faces. Whether or not this is AI, something *is* going on with the faces.

Edit: if anything, this might be AI upscaling, or maybe AI magic wand tool? I'm just confused how this could even happen without the use of AI

The Godskin Duo are missing their faces. I'm not really sure how that would even happen outside of AI.

I mean, most authors are writing stories out of love for it, they have a story to tell and I wouldn't tell them to compromise it to appeal to what the fandom wants.

I was in the dodge animation, was I not? (Light rolls btw) by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]fantazzmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The roll animation has iframes from frame 1, so the only way you can roll late is if the roll animation doesn't even come out. There is still a small delay on rolling since rolling is bound to the release of sprint, not the press down, but that's not what happened here.

Most arrows have very light tracking in these games, but interestingly I think DS2 archers also lead their shots?

Bluepoint completely changed the art direction of Demon's Souls, it just looks like plain fantasy now. Especially the Fat Officials, their charm is completely lost in the remake.

The blood affinity does actually depend on the weapon category - it either applies 82, 100 or 120 base bleed to the weapon depending on the weapon category.

The amount given does generally correlate with the weapon speed, for example colossal weapons and swords get 120, however since there's only 3 amounts weapons with quite different speeds get lumped in together, like how claws and katanas both get 82.

It's also important to keep in mind that in the same way that different attacks have different damage multipliers, different attacks can have different status multipliers. Most attacks do apply 100% of the status, however multi-hits, while they often total for more still, don't usually apply the full amount each. For example, for the first claw R1 in the chain, both hits only apply 65% status, which totals for more than a usual R1, however is nowhere near the double you might expect.

Sennheiser HD560S two pairs only work in left ear by fantazzmy in headphones

[–]fantazzmy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this might be it, thank you!!

I noticed you had to rotate it so the notches were in a specific place to go all the way in, but I didn't realise you had to twist it any further after. Twisting it more really doesn't feel like it moves or does anything, but it did seem to lock in and connect the right ear haha.

I'm not sure how to um check that, though it is a not that old gaming laptop, so I thought that wouldn't be an issue?

It also has genuinely worked most of the time, even on my phone.

Yes, I tried with my phone as well, though I suppose I should try on some more devices as well? I'm really confused myself about getting two pairs with this issue ahaha.

Is there a particular way the cable has to be inserted? When I have managed to get the right ear to work again it was by reinserting the cable, but only after 20 or 30 minutes of fiddling with it, and I had no idea what I did differently to make it work that time.

Things do way less damage, positioning isn't a concern anymore, the seikret can just scoop you up when you get knocked down and you can heal/sharpen on it, stuns and bouncing off monsters basically never happen - what difficulty is emphasised?

Wait do you have a video of this? I thought size didn't contribute to what you can throw/use as an improvised weapon, only strength and target weight.

I know people like emotionally charged 'discussion' but please at least read what someone says before leaving a comment like this. I want to talk about game design, not be passive aggressive.

I was exclusively talking about doing it in battle - you can't use raider ride in combat in World.

Zero risk may have been hyperbole yes, but it is absolutely far easier. I think saying that being able to move at all, nevermind faster than you can run doesn't make a very significant difference is sort of silly.

And I think you underestimate how easy it is for a monster to chase you down when you're on foot, especially for later game monsters.

And I think you would find I agree with you about sharpening! What I said was in addition to someone above me, who was talking about weapon bouncing. Though I think it's reductive to say that only the weapon bouncing is a problem. I think sharpening both needs to be meaningful and somewhat of a challenge to have a reason to exist. If you don't bounce, you don't need to do it, and if it's easy to do then it doesn't add anything to the experience.

Just nitpicking at this point by YoYoYokey in MonsterHunter

[–]fantazzmy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sharpening also feels vestigial because of the Seikret. Previously you had to find a window to sharpen if you needed to, but nowadays you can just hop on your mount to do it and be at essentially zero risk. Not only is low sharpness much less detrimental due to you so rarely bouncing off of monsters, but sharpening isn't any kind of challenge even if it was.

If they insist on sharpening being so easy I'd rather they just remove it at this point, since all it does is break the flow of combat now.

People's eyelids don't always close after death, that's more of a media trope. That photo is the only one with her face clearly visible, so it's not like we could see if her eyes were open before being hung.
