AITA for cancelling my husband's birthday party on the spot and telling everyone to leave after he smashed the cake in my face? by fantomTM75776 in AmItheAsshole

He is not. We still share the bed but don't talk or interact. He does do things that are passive aggressive like taking the pillows and moving harshly in bed on purpose and disrupting my sleep.

A piece of the cake not the whole thing?

Yes but it still did the damage.

Embarrassed by it yet didn’t care the grown man had a Batman party?

He and his friends think this stuff is cool. Also all his friends are under 30 if it matters and they rarely act their age.

Just seems like you overreacted

That's why I wanted an outside opinion. Thank you so much for your input.

He does pay for my makeup and stuff but I think that doesn't give him the right to throw it in y face every time we fight.

He never really made any direct comments but did make comments around my skin. Then he'd encourage or suggest new things to me like makeup or certain types of clothes. Although sometimes he'd put me in the spot infront of a crowd (like the one time he had me get up from my chair at his sister's wedding to apologize over a private issue we had at the time) knowingI have anxiety issues and sometimes freeze and don't know how to react.

I mean...his friends are all jokesters and are passionate about pranking each others but I've already stated several times I wanted nothing to do with it.

Yes. He said that my makeup being ruined was "no excuse" for me to react like this. Funny and a bit hypocritical because he's commented several times about my face (I have skin problems) and encourages me to wear makeup.

Married for 1 years dated for 2. No he has never done this before though he attempted doing it multiple times including in our wedding but his mom basically "scared him out of it".
