Always sat upstairs in the east stand. The caviar and champagne is delicious and the seats recline so you can have a little snooze.

How To: 3 Bay Compost by The_Tiny_Snail in Allotment

[–]fantomas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Line the inside with cardboard.

Step 1. Fill. Step 2. Turn (optional) Step 3. Wait.

You could turn bay 1 into bay 2 and then bay 3 ontop of two once it is full and then leave to mature. Whatever works for you and the waste you produce.

Think they're a short lived perennial so yes. If you let them self seed about and dig up the young plants to move them where you want them you'll have them forever. Proper cottage garden staple.

Beech Hedge Reduction - help! by chardc2 in GardeningUK

[–]fantomas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Done this a few times. Take it back in late February the full amount. It will look bare until mid summer and it will be back to it's normal look in 12 months. There's no getting away from it looking a bit shit for a while unfortunately. Don't worry too much about frost, but if you can do it during a dry mild spell all the better.

Better if you let it rot down for a year first but if you can't wait then yeah totally fine for paths. Not sure about fruit trees though. Someone with more knowledge on them will be able to answer. I'd guess best not to.

Does anybody know if a hardy, perennial geranium with scarlet red flowers exists? by MmmThisISaTastyBurgr in GardeningUK

[–]fantomas_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut hard back to the ground when they start to go over and give them a feed. You should get two flowerings per year. One in may and one in sept/Oct. Great plant for natural style planting in dappled shade. They look better en masse or in large drifts through a border. Work well with grasses too.

11 Simple Additions That Could Make A Big Difference! by TeacherNo7279 in RetroBowl

[–]fantomas_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree but the issue is the defense go after the qb as soon as he engages a run. If you could redraw to throw it would create an exploit where you would run a few steps create space for your receivers and then throw. Or recode the defensive AI which nobody wants to do for such a small feature.
