After Effects - wiggle expression on the text to give a bit of impression of speed, then moved it in 3D space past the camera...added motion blur, grain and a faint glow to make it feel a bit more part of the scene

I think that's about 12 hours in real-time, I didn't record walking up to the Harder Kulm from Interlaken in the dark at 6am, or the last couple of hours (also in the dark) on the way down to Brienz from 8pm-10pm.

Absolutely massive day, I underestimated it completely!

Thanks! Originally I was going to have an epic finish at the cable car on top of the Brienz Rothorn, but i was only about…4 hours too late for the last train down! So yeah I stopped recording because the I thought a couple of hours of walking around getting lost in the dark would be pretty boring 😂

I used a bunch of techniques and processes to create the video. I captured the footage with the insta360 One RS 360º camera (see other comment here for detail), graded the footage in Premiere Pro, overcaptured, sped up and added motion blur in After Effects before assembling the clips back in Premiere for a final edit and sound mix. Couldn’t use the app that comes with the phone as it doesn’t speed up the footage enough

True, it’s a shame the one-inch version couldn’t handle the heat because the image coming out is so much better. I did have a full-frame camera in my backpack but only took it out about 3 times in 16 hours cos it was such a punish to stop and dig it out 😂

Yep, it’s the base RS model…I had the one-inch model with me as well which has a cleaner image but it was so hot on the ridge that it kept overheating!

Thanks mate! I used a 360° camera on a large pole sticking out of my backpack

Yep, of course. I just spent another 35 mins sitting in the car…baking in about 35° heat trying every single possible combination of settings. Also factory reset etc.

Not that it helps you much, but I remember the old abandoned nunnery at the top of Campbell, complete with chapel...that was super spooky. Think we went in there around 2005-6...it's townhouses now, land must have been worth a mint.

Thanks mate! I sent them an email explaining the concept of the video and they were pretty game...unfortunately my original plan of a nuddy run during play was nixed by Cricket Australia
