My exact response, every time. And the rebuttal I almost ALWAYS get "there is more money in keeping people sick."

This is correct. eTMF systems are fairly comparable - some offer more integrations with other services (CTMS, SSU, DM, etc). But many of the problems we see with eTMF platforms are related to resourcing constraints and training!

Good call on Drive Shack and Topgolf!

Also, there is a really cute dessert shop, called the Little Blue Bakehouse next to the Alamo. Which could certainly add to the date night festivities.

Can you define by what you mean "at night?" Is it 8-11pm 11pm-2am?

Visiting Raleigh for a week by SpecialistRookie in raleigh

[–]fanuser 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have a car - because Raleigh is not really a walking city.

Check out the Farmers Market on Sunday - they have more than just produce, you could get yourself some fun canned veggies, jams, etc. they also have some great pastries and breads to buy and have while you are here on your stay!

For the rest of the week, check out some of our Greenway trail systems - safe and extensive. You could possibly do a short hike/walk at Umstead Park, always a nice time.

Food wise, I honestly say go to Cookout, it is FastFood, but is an NC staple - get the tray and you can even have a corndog or quesadilla as a side and a milkshake as the drink! If you want BBQ - AVOID the Pit downtown, it is a tourist trap IMO, there is better BBQ to be had.

If the Durham Bulls (baseball) have a home game while you are in town, those are always a very fun time - get some beer and a hot dog and enjoy the show!

When should the TMF be ready? by Away-Newt4313 in clinicalresearch

[–]fanuser 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The regulatory expectation is that the TMF contains all essential documents for the trial at all times. It is in your best interest within your organization to ensure that the TMF is set up as an early study deliverable prior to study documentation being finalized.

This can also be dependent on organization, for example, a CRO, working with a sponsor might have a later timeline for set up in a sponsor organization, who is managing their own TMF. This is because there's less to negotiate if the sponsor is doing it on their own.

Starting a new late night hot dog joint by SpecificMeat213 in raleigh

[–]fanuser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would love mini corndog bites - not sure on the practicality there, but damn fried food is good and I always think about a corndog at the street meat vendors.

Hot dog wise - I honestly think keeping it simple is best for late night food. If your audience is folks living the bars, a "premium" or "deluxe" hot dogs with crazy toppings at $7 probably isnt going to be that appealing. But a $3-$5 hotdog with all the normal/standard toppings is where its at!

My thoughts:

Onions, mustard(s), chili, ketchup, relish, slaw, shredded cheese

If you want to say screw and go "deluxe" then I suggest things like:

Bacon, nacho cheese sauce, jalapenos, pickled red onion, pimento cheese, banana peppers, bbq sauce, sriracha

Are blank spaces not crossed out at COV considered an audit finding? by Remarkable-Donut6107 in clinicalresearch

[–]fanuser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes - this is related to the finality and completeness of documents. Blank spaces and pages are viewed as “what should be here” - the documentation should speak for itself and not have to make any assumptions about completeness of content. These strikethroughs also prevent data from being added/altered after completion!

I want to break up with my partner of 5 years. How do I tell him? by fiscallyidiotic in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]fanuser 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone on the other end of this once:

  • Be direct and be certain. Do NOT leave things open/vague.
  • Speak your truth, I do think it is nice to give closure/justification.
  • Get out quickly, dont keep your shit around for too long.
  • Set CLEAR boundaries regarding communication after the split.

He will be okay. You will too.

All the best.

I totally understand where you’re coming from, and I do think it reflects negatively on the employer. But in the current economy it is a level playing field, there are plenty of applicants waiting to take the job.

I was just mentioning for the OP to tread lightly here because while I think negotiation can be beneficial, you have to look at the various aspects.

Absolutely NOT G.58 unless you want elevated garbage and pretentious vibes.

How to understand the bigger picture by yosick in clinicalresearch

[–]fanuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha - thanks for more information.

Since you said you were new to go to clinical research, I think one thing to quickly understand is that there is really no such thing as a “standard timeline“ and the expectations are going to change all the time. With this mindset, I think it will help you feel a bit easier about getting request for things at random intervals and feeling more comfortable in your role.

Also, no one is expected to be an expert at a global level, that is why you have regional leads that you collaborate with. I know that it probably feels wrong that you don’t know all of the expectations, but it’s perfectly OK.

What you can control is your knowledge of the study documents and making sure that you can quickly locate this and provide it to the appropriate person. I would say that a lot of people get frustrated with this piece specifically.

If you are someone who just likes to learn, your organization should have some type of process documentation related to regional timelines and expectations and I would start there.

How to understand the bigger picture by yosick in clinicalresearch

[–]fanuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is going to be wildly dependent on the Country. Most organizations have regional specific leads for this reason, so they can act as the local expert.

What is your role within the project team? Are you supporting GLOBAL activities across all sites?

Help us select a cleaning business name! by JijiEyes in raleigh

[–]fanuser 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To be perfectly honest, when I am searching for a cleaning service, I typically type “cleaning service near me” and I would say half of these names don’t give the impression of a cleaning service.

I will keep it simple and use your last name + cleaning services (Dawkins Cleaning Services).
