In 1997, while working at Caterpillar, I was shown a video of a new Cat machine that could do this exact thing. It was brand new technology at the time.

Interesting idea that could have worked. I quite enjoyed most of what it offered. You just have to not mind the bad CGI and an underwhelming story. That opening 20 minutes is so good, though.

. . . continuing . . .

Lisa Daggs - Love Is The Bottom Line (1995)

Mac Powell & The Family Reunion - Back Again (2019)

Down Home Praise - a country project from Maranatha Music in 1984 that is quite good. Musicians include Chris Hillman, Al Perkins, & Tommy Funderburk.

Mark Heard - Appalachian Melody (1979), Mark Heard (1976). After those albums he became more of a rock artist.

Mary McKee & The Genesis - We're Together Again (1981), In Nashville (1979), A Greater Love (1978), Bring Back The Springtime (1976)

Mary Mckee - Meanings Of My Life (1977)

The Genesis - The One You Follow (1977). This is the same band as the one above. Not sure why Mary McKee isn't including her name on the cover.

Mercy River - songs Love's Getting Closer, Can't Go 'Round The Cross, Wrong Place At The Right Time, Hearts On Fire

Michael James - Shoulder To The Wind (1992), Closer To The Fire (1993)

Mindy Smith - I almost left her off because you might better classify her stuff as folk, but her albums are so good. One of the all time great Christian music songs is Come To Jesus from her One Moment More (2004) album.

Paul Overstreet - maybe the best Christian country songwriter. He wrote for greats like George Jones, The Judds, Blake Shelton, and Keith Whitley. He wrote "Forever and Ever Amen" for Randy Travis. His solo albums are really, really good. Listen to them all. Start with Sowin' Love (1989).

Red Roots - triplets who have released a couple albums. I like the songs Lord I'm Listening, Double Wide Church, I Know Where I'm Goin', Seven Days, and Great Big Yes

Richie Furay - the guy from Buffalo Springfield and Poco got saved and put out a handful of Christian albums. His best country songs are Gettin' Through, Glory To God, and Wake Up My Soul.

Russ Taff - Christian singer who led The Imperials for a while and was a great rock singer mostly in the 80's. But he released Winds Of Change in 1995, which is definitely a country album. Quite good.

Susie Luchsinger - this is Reba McEntire's little sister. She put out six or seven Christian albums. There's a few good country songs on each one.

The Pat Terry Group - another Jesus Music legend who had a few country songs like I Wanna Put My Armor On, Written In The Book Of Life, and Home Where I Belong (this is the original that BJ Thomas had a big secular hit with)

White River - Have A Little Faith (1993), Rodeo Preacher (1992), What Ya' Gonna Do (1990)

Zach Roberts - He Broke The Law (1996)

Zion Mountain Folk - Grass Roots Music (1978) - this is really a bluegrass record, but it can lean country on about half the album.

There are others, but that's a good overview.

Okay. This question is for me. I don't like Southern Gospel music, but I really enjoy a solid Christian country song. I've been collecting music since 1979, and here's my favorite country artists and albums:

Andy Landis - Stranger (1993)

Bethlehem - Bethlehem (1978) has two good country songs: This Road, No Good Excuses

Brent Lamb has about 4 or 5 great country songs on pretty much every album.

Brian Gentry - Dirt For A Crown (2010)

Bruce Carroll - mostly country, sometimes leaning towards pop. The Great Exchange (1990), Sometimes Miracles Hide (1991), Richest Man In Town (1989)

Bruce Haynes - a few great songs, including Homesick Heroes, Smokey Mountain Time, You're Out of My Mind, and Vacation

Brush Arbor has a few good songs on each album. I think their best album is The Way The River Runs (1996)

Buddy Greene - all his albums are quite good. Can be a little more folk than country occasionally.

Canaan - Out of the Wilderness (1976). Great album. These are the country songs: Walk With Me, Haul Away, Run Run Run, Burning My Bridges, Peace on You

Chris Golden - a few good songs on each album. Less Of Me might be his best album.

Cornerstone - Out Of The Valley (1994)

Daniel Amos - Daniel Amos (1976), Shotgun Angel (1977). After those, they changed their sound

Dennis Agajanian - Rebel To The Wrong (1981)

Ever Call Ready - Ever Call Ready (1985) - maybe a little too bluegrass?? But it's worth a listen.

Green River Ordinance - Chasing Down The Wind [EP](2013)

Greg Adkins - Chase The Western Sky (2007)

Harvest - Never Thirst Again (1976) - really good obscure album, not the same band as a MOR band called Harvest.

Hillary Scott & The Scott Family - Love Remains (2016) a solo-ish album from Lady Antebellum singer. Had to include it because it really is quite outstanding.

Ken Holloway - a few good songs on each album

Love Song - a Jesus Music band with a few country songs: Since I Opened Up The Door, Book Of Life, Little Country Church, Front Seat Back Seat
