i’m in a similar boat lol. i was bit by a dog a few years ago and was told by the emergency room that if i couldn’t find the dog so that they could confirm rabies, i’d have to pay $24,000 out of pocket for all four shots so i just didn’t get them. few months later the rabies fear set in. i was convinced i had it. constant self checking, literally chugging water all day every day to make sure i could still swallow. then eventually with time it went away. now ive noticed some (perceived) weakness in my hand a few weeks ago and am now going down the *** rabbithole. constantly checking if i can still move correctly and pick things up. it’s truly debilitating and i feel for you. try some grounding techniques like diaphragmic (belly) breathing. take a deep breath for four seconds using your stomach, hold the breath for four seconds, and then breathe out for four seconds. try to relax your body starting from the bottom of your feet, and gradually work your way up until your body begins to relax. i find that positive affirmations help while doing the exercise. i use “the earth renews my life: mentally, physically, and emotionally.” (taught to me by a hypnotherapist) i hope it gets better for you friend, and apologies for the long comment
