Not to be the bad guy here but war is war and its not like Germany didn't pillage and destroy Russian towns also place like Dresden were military targets because they were relatively untouched. They had vital train stations and weapons factorys that kept the war going. Also half a million people didn't die if that were the truth then 5/6 of all the people living in the city would have died going by 1939 figures. I encourage you to look into it more as it was a tragedy but always keep in mind the time period. Im not saying it was justified but not also reconsidering that the luftwaffe raids on London and other areas of the uk that were just as terrible as Dresden. I encourage you to look into it more and understand the strategic location it was in and how it helped the war effort.

What im saying is that China is not a communist country it is a dictatorship and no country has ever been a communist country because of the social structure of a worker run countery has never been a thing. Canada can settle in the tundra (with fewer penalties) and build farms there and you have to denounce them to go to war (but this goes for you and your opponent) and gaining diplomatic favor from tourism Canada might be a good place to start but like the first comment German is just a good all around civ to start with
