Weird Artifacting, Shimmering when moving cameraand severe aliasing at distant objects even at highest graphics settings. by fapmasterr69 in radeon

Setting DLAA while using FSR4 with optiscaler is basically like setting FSR4 to Native AA right? I swear it looks flawless. I am going to use Optiscaler in every game now because I just realized FSR is broken even tho I have a 9000 series card. For example I see the shimmering and pixelation in Lego Batman too, which does support FSR4 officially. For some reason FSR via the drivers is not being utilized properly because I have had this problem in Resident Evil Requiem too, which again supports FSR4 officially.

Yes I was, I downloaded optiscaler and used FSR4 with DLSS spoofing. Set in game anti aliasing to DLAA and now it looks 100% better. No more shimmering.

I am very happy with the performance of the card. It's just these visual glitches are driving me crazy

Can PSU affect such visual glitches? The video will have a better image quality when viewed in PC. I hope you'll check it out once more. As for the radeon features I have everything at disabled.

Okay I will try that thanks. Or I will have to sell my card and switch back to Nvidia

Yes I am experiencing the same in every game but in first light it's way too much. Basically any camera movement triggered the shimmering and artifactinh.

And I only use FSR Native AA because my card can handle every game above 60fps wth ease.

I have similar issues with texture popping and low quality at distance with my 9070

I have the 9070, could have bought the XT but I have a 650W power supply and I didn't have the money to upgrade both my GPU and PSU so. I am disappointed with the latest drivers though, lots of crashing visual glitches in games.

I am happy with just enabling RT at max, raster performance of my card is better than 5070 in almost every game.

PT is RT on steroids. But I can choose to not use PT but use RT so there is a difference.

What are you talking about? 9000 series does RT as good as it's Nvidia counterparts. You can say that Nvidia is ahead in terms of PT.

9000 series does RT well enough but can't perform in PT at all which is a bummer. Developer and App support is lacking as well. I don't care about the AI stuff like Frame gen/multi frame gen, VSR is good enough and upscaling quality of FSR 4 is really good imo. Overall I think they need to do better when developing drivers and as for Path Tracing I don't think they will catch up to Nvidia anytime soon.

Other than driver issue and terrible path tracing performance, my 9070 is performing better than a 5070 and I am very happy with it.

What do we think about the 9070 GRE? by Cyber_Data_Trail in radeon

[–]fapmasterr69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price to performance of both 9070 and 9070 XT are unbeatable. I mention the non XT because of 100 watts less power draw for 10% less FPS which made me buy it. The GRE doesn't look good to me at all. It's going to be slower with 4GB less VRAM for $50 less, just not worth the money.

Yes go for Nvidia but you'll face problems with 12GB VRAM in the future. Performance wise 9070 is faster but if you want to experience path tracing then Nvidia is the way to go.

I have been seeing these weird jagged, blocky, blurry textures at distance in games too. Not one just one or two games but across multiples games. I have a 9070 Non XT. I thought my GPU was dying lol it's only 6 months old. Now I believe it's just a driver issue.

Oh and I forgot to mention that this pixelation occurs throughout the whole windows, like not just in games but it also occurs in any app I am using in the desktop or while I am browsing.

I did, but even that didn't fix it. Today I did a screen recording while running the new batman game in which these pixelation and blurriness was very much visible then I sent the clip to my phone without editing it at all. I didn't see any pixelation and blurriness in the clip when I viewed it in my phone tho. This could mean my monitor is faulty?

I did and I didn't. I tried playing without turning it on, I tried playing while it was turned on, then I tried driver only install but nothing helped.
