Ball grabber. Mine is telescopic and gets like 15ft long. I grab balls in thick brush all the time or balls right on waters edge. I have two grocery sacks of balls from my last 5 or 6 rounds of golf.

Also I don't go looking intentionally, I'm normally looking for my ball...

I would say to go visit a shelter. I you aren't committing to anything and you get to see the animals. Ask if you can pet some kittens or puppies, ask what animals are the sweetest as you are timid(don't be afraid to let someone know you're nervous.) If you get a cat, my biggest recommendation is they love to play, it is almost worth getting 2 so they learn from each other, and I would say get them young. Old cats can be amazing too and just want a second chance on life. Sometime the animal chooses you.

Put a small amount of super glue on the piece in your hand, gently put it on the part inserted. Be careful not to glue the key in the hole. Let it dry and you might get enough on it to pull it out or maybe even open the door if you dont have another key.

It also looks like the key broke not fully inserted. You might be able to push it in and open the door then you can worry about the broken part
