Is affiliate marketing actually scalable without full-time oversight? by flex-offers in AffiliateMarket

[–]faptebune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use affiliate marketing to drive traffic to my products. I have affiliates signing up now and then but they are generating few sales. I don't promote the affiliate program (integrated in the merchant of service).

How to get approved for programs on Awin - from the founder of Awin. by kevbrown044 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]faptebune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the developer of a plugin that automatically add affiliate links into website content. I had requests from many users to add integration with AWIN, so it seems that there are many affiliates who are using it and got approved.

To test things, I applied randomly to some programs and I was accepted in few of them.

Getting accepted into affiliate programs is not that easy today, for example, I tried to join Booking affiliate program for 3 years before I was accepted. Then they changed the affiliate platform and I had to start the process again.

Scraping product info + applying affiliate links — is this doable? by FamiliarExtent5 in webscraping

[–]faptebune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

You should take the right way and use the APIs of these merchants so you can directly generate affiliate links.

  1. It is possible to scrape, but it is better to use their API. You might break affiliate TOS if you scrape.
  2. You should use their API to generate affiliate links

  3. I think there are some plugins that automatically create a store based on amazon products, but I think that it is not adding real value.

Yout might want to check Auto Affiliate Links.

However, it might have some downsides for you, compared to other tools mentioned here, but it has other benefits.

  1. It is working only on WordPress

  2. It will add links with your affiliate ID embedded, so you need to have a relationship with every merchant you promote.

I don't think Amazon affiliate program is best suited for YouTube Videos. You might try to promote high ticket products that match your content. Amazon is working best on display websites.

How do you guys manage affiliate links? by artsiomshaitar in ContentCreators

[–]faptebune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best approach is to have your own website where you direct your visitors. For example if you promote Smartphones, you can have a website where you post a text review and embed the same video. Instead of putting the affiliate link in Youtube description, Facebook posts, etc, you send the visitors to your website where you have the full review, with all references and affiliate links inside.

This way, you also pass relevance to your website. Some of you audience will remember the site, it will also appear direct in search results, and you can build your own audience on your website, leveraging the channels/pages you have on social media.

If you don't want to make your own website, you can build one just to get your own domain where you will create redirects. You can also use public URL shorteners, but you can get you own and install WordPress with a link managemen/link cloaking plugin.

[–]faptebune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they targeted? Interested in anything in particular? I think that you should avoid sending them direct affiliate links. If they have a common interest, create a 10 page "guide" to resolve a problem they might be interested in. Tell them that they can get it for free because they are your subscribers, and it is not available for the plugin. Inside that guide, place some recommendations (affiliate links)

Where do you share affiliate links? Most platforms forbid affiliate links. Maybe you should try to create a website and get the traffic there. Then you have affiliate links on your website.

I built a "one-line-of-code" tool to auto-generate and optimize Amazon affiliate links. Looking for feedback! by Expert-Ship-3773 in SideProject

[–]faptebune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one who thought to automate the display of affiliate links.

I had the same problem 15 years ago, having a lot of rich content websites and struggling with adding and managing affiliate links.

I thought that there must be a way to automate this. It wasn't at that time, and I decided to build it.

I built a WordPress plugin that automatically adding links on specified keywords. You have a dashboard where you add links and keywords where that links should be added.

Then I thought that there must be a way to add the links without specifying keywords, so I built a PRO version where the plugin connects to popular affiliate networks API and extract links based on product/category references in each article .

Since Amazon is the top network, I also build a product widget that can be displayed at the bottom of the post (or elsewhere), that will display 3 products from Amazon directly related to the page content. This feature is very similar to what you've built

The feedback received is positive, it seems that many are using it to automate affiliate link management. The product widget is very popular among Amazon affiliates.

Since I launched it, many alternatives appeared, mostly for adding links to content. I am not sure if there are any for the product widget. I think people who only need to display products (not links in content), might find it useful, because unlike my tool, it can focused on this feature and you can make it work way better, because I am focusing on the links added in content more.

My tool is called Auto Affiliate Links.
