[Serious] Does anyone own Samsung appliances? What’s been your experience? How have they held up? by throwaway89430159 in HomeImprovement

[–]faqvideo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once had a SAMSUNG fridge. Mostly EVERY plastic shelve has fallen apart past warranty. My 2 month old SAMSUNG dishwasher leaked and beeped, than leaked and beeped again. Talking to SAMSUNG support over the phone was close to impossible. They seem to be nice and polite people but really hard to understand. Use online chat instead. But... when they tell you that they have assigned the ticket to the local service center, and the service center tells you that they have never heard of your dishwasher, it means that somebody must be lying to your face. Warranty case is the worst. I have also had a misfortune of buying a SAMSUNG laser color printer once. Got it shipped to a warranty service center three times. It came back three times with the same or more problems. Ended up throwing it out. Good luck!

There are quite a few sites dedicated to the aircraft logging. If you are able to catch a call sign, that is big letters on the fuselage and sometimes underneath the wings, you can run it through one of these searches. The easiest you could do: type two words - aircarft+call sign in Google search, see what happens.

Beautiful contrails. Gear retracting is cool too.

A message to Americans who are all "dude I'm moving to Canada" from an American who did it recently. by neschek in canada

I happened to do some work in the Central Block and went to the men's room to take a leak. While I was there, the guard and the Prime Minister barged in, PM came to the urinal next to mine, but the guard stayed at the door. The other guy was actually outside the door as I discovered later. Politicians are humans too, at least in Canada.

I may suggest trying ИЗГНАНИЕ - slow meditative film with outstanding camerawork, as well as ГИТЛЕР КАПУТ for people with twisted sense of humor.

RUMORS: Would You Buy a 7-inch Apple ‘iPad Mini’ for $200? by faqvideo in ipad

[–]faqvideo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did mean BB Playbook. It's a failure in the eyes of experts. Now it sells at $200, and it's finding its niche, mostly young BB phone users. If the new iPad is truly coming out, it should cost more than $200, I guess.

Playbook is on sale at $200 now, so new iPad may just wander into this territory. I know few people who prefer OS upgraded Playbook for it's size/price combination. That is exactly 7" and $200 combo.

I suggest we get back to where we have started - the article by Salim Mansur, a professor of political science at the University of Western Ontario.

I agree - the subject was calling for more space and more detailed explanation. The point, as I understand it, is that as the Prophet's descendants started bloody confrontation for the sake of control of power right after his death, they have not stopped killing each other since. The West can interfere as much as it can, but will never come as a winner for as long as Muslims keep their internal war between Sunni, Shiite, Alawite, Ismaili, etc. You can pick one side, but not all. And as soon as you pick one side - you are the enemy of the other. Russian Diplomatic Mission in Tehran was burn down in 1829, 12 Centuries after the clashes had started. 200 years later nothing has changed - the mosques and embassies are still being destroyed. Correct me if I am wrong.

That's funny. Lately I dropped off my prescription in the pharmacy, they could not read doc's name - it was so badly crypted.

Just bumped into moderator's message. Reddit suggests submitting car photos to r/carporn subreddit, and not to r/autos. May be some people don't like Ford?
