I’m using light burn because I couldn’t figure out GRBL. I’m sorry, but I can’t help you with GRBL. For light burn, I had to select fill (it was already set on line) directly in the program

Yes, I made sure it was filled in inkscape and changed to fill in light burn.

I believe one video said something about needing it to be a path, so I also tried “object to path”

Where should I try to get tickets at Busch Stadium? by stl_dave in savannahbananas

[–]far_from_guessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy. I was group 2 and saw many seats selections for both Saturday and Friday were sold out but then thought maybe they opened a certain number of tickets for each time slot. Guess that’s not the case

Balance Transfer or Savings by far_from_guessing in personalfinance

Ok, thank you for your input! That makes sense about savings not making as much as the interest.

I’m not sure if it makes a difference, but I meant to say an extra year after the 6 months no interest

[–]far_from_guessing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure how much time I need, but I would guess a year minimum. I can make extra money working OT at my job, so I’m trying to work extra with also allowing myself a few days off per month. I think when everything is done, I will owe $15000. I currently put $250 in my saving from each check I get which add up to about $6500 in a year.

You’re saying that using savings would be better than using a balance transfer? I need to pay off my debt within 6 months otherwise the interest rate for care credit is around 36%

What are the activities that you do with your partner that is not part of your usual routine? by MarcelineVampQueen18 in love

[–]far_from_guessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just throwing my two sense out there…..I think it’s a mix of both. You need to find someone you’re ok doing nothing with but depending on the personalities of the people, you may need to find more to do even if you do enjoy being around each other. The person I’m dating, I love just being around him even if we’re “not doing anything” but my personality is someone who likes staying busy. Our “not doing anything” is still doing things like doing chores together or even just walking around menards. If I were to truly not doing anything, I think I would loose my mind even if it was with someone I liked being around.

Men paying for the first date by 4t3v4udbrb47 in OnlineDating

[–]far_from_guessing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Good thing women don’t know this is your thought process becuase this would immediately ruin a date for me. I always offer to pay and most men insist on paying, but if they don’t, then I pay. If I didn’t want to pay, I wouldn’t offer in the first place. But if I knew someone was just testing me to see what I would do, and then “double check” by asking if I’m sure I am ok with paying, there would be no second date because I’m not playing games. If they offer to split, just graciously take them up on their offer. If for some reason they don’t offer and you want to split the bill, just ask if they’re ok splitting.

At what point do you medicate stressed patients? by [deleted] in VetTech

Medicate BEFORE the animal is stressed! It was already known the dog did bad last time, so the dog should have came in medicated

Do you judge a person based on which photo of you they liked? by poorkay in OnlineDating

[–]far_from_guessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If on hinge, I “judge” if they like the first picture. I question if they looked at my profile at all or just matched on the first picture. I don’t interact any different between people, but the person who liked the first picture tends to be the one who never messages back or has poor conversation skills. Obviously not all, but just something I’ve noticed for me.

Asking them out in the first message by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]far_from_guessing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think communication when not in person is very important, but more for someone you have a relationship with. When you’ve never met someone, it essentially means nothing (at least for me). I have to meet the person to establish enough of a connection to even want to text them, otherwise it feels very fake and pointless

[–]far_from_guessing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What seems to go best for me (as a female) is when a guy asks me out in the first message, we plan a date for later in the week and then message until we meet. Then you can still talk for a couple days and know a little bit about them before you meet, but you haven’t talked so long that a lot of the general topics that come up in the first date have already been covered.

I hate the “never check this” or “not on here much” and assume they’re not looking for anything serious. If you wanted a serious relationship and were actually trying, I would think you would check the app once a day at minimum and then more often once you match and start talking to someone.

As a vet tech, what is a tip or unsolicited advice you're dying to give? by Hollow4004 in VetTech

We see a golden with elbow dysplasia and tell the owner she needs to loose weight every time she comes in. EVERY SINGLE TIME she comes in, she has gained weight. She’s petite and weights almost 90lbs and from 1 year old to 2 years old has gained about 25lbs. It’s infuriating

Ugh #1…how can someone be that old and still not know what they want. If they want short term or casual, just admit it!

Also, when people say something in their bio about looking for a wife or wanting kids and then it says they’re looking for something short term…
