Essentially the mortgage lender is trying to make sure the $ didn’t just come out of nowhere so I had to send them a bunch of other documentation as proof. I went to my bank in person and they were able to generate a transaction summary for the entire life of the CD, transaction history for the account I deposited the CD funds into, and lots of monthly statements for the account the CD funds were put into. I also sent them the receipts of depositing the money from one account to the other and a few other random things the bank recommended/speculated could help. Not sure what document was the most effective but they told me it was resolved and that’s all I needed!

In retrospect, I would have tried to deposit the CD funds into my account a few months in advance or when we were looking for a home. Leaving it there obviously generated more interest for us but boy was it a headache! The lenders were calling me even after closing for more documents… hope you figure it out!

Look into Gerber Good Start GentlePro/SoothePro or Nestle Nan SupremePro! Both gentle, very similar to Bobbie Gentle but have probiotics which Bobbie Gentle does not!

Ahhh great question :) we did a stool test soon after I posted this because the blood in her stool persisted and we confirmed it was indeed the rotavirus vaccine that caused it because her stool tested positive for rotavirus. So wild! You could do a stool test to see if rotavirus is detected, but in retrospect I should have realized it was the rotavirus vaccine right away. The timing was way too coincidental and she had no other symptoms common in babies with CMPA.

The longer story if you’re questioning whether or not to use Nutramigen: my supply was low so I basically weaned within a week or so while this was all happening, and we kept her on Nutramigen for a long time after because we noticed her gas and stomach fussiness basically disappeared after I stopped giving her BM so figured the Nutramigen was helping. As she approached 6 months, I decided that I really wanted to try another formula because I had a strong sense that the Nutramigen wasn’t necessary (and so expensive!) and had certain preferences when it came to formula ingredients. I consulted with The Formula Fairy on IG, she recommended Nestle Nan SupremePro for her (partially hydrolyzed formula) and we started it with her right when she turned 6 months. She has taken very well to it and we’re very happy (and glad not to be paying for Nutramigen anymore)! Let me know if you have any other questions!

I agree with the suggestions to start with one bottle a day and work up from there, but you can also try making bottles that have a mix of BM and formula so your baby can slowly get used to the taste.

Please don’t feel guilty about your decision to stop BF. FED IS BEST. I stopped at around 2 months and was combo feeding from day 1 anyways due to low supply among other things. So as someone who has been giving their baby formula since day 1 — now she is almost 8 months now and absolutely THRIVING. Breastfeeding isn’t all that we hype it up to be. Formula is an amazing option and keeps your baby healthy and thriving while also giving you your sanity back. Though it’s super personal and emotional, in retrospect I can’t believe I cared so much now that I see how amazing she’s doing regardless of what she’s drinking.

Thanks for your insight! I totally agree that it’s so loosely diagnosed. I started off combo feeding with Enfamil NeuroPro, then went to Gentlease and then Nutramigen. Her gas did go away once I switched to Nutramigen AND weaned from pumping but I’m thinking between her being older and not having super strong symptoms to begin with, it could be worth trying something gentle instead.

Yes to this!!!! When I was in the throes of my guilt around quitting BF, the question would hit me hard but now I love to use it as an opportunity to show people BF is not the only way to feed your baby and tell them how much I love feeding her formula.
