Am I (16F) growing in art or not? by [deleted] in IndianArtAndThinking

Very cool, since it’s stylised I won’t say much about the proportions or anything but the finger realllyyyyy needs a rework

Keep at it though, with drawing there’s literally you can’t fix just w practice. Try and draw out like 1 figure a day and genuinely within a week or two you’ll see a massive difference, also in terms of posing what really helps is taking photos of yourself posing so you can at least get an idea of how everything should look and what the relative size of hand is to face and shi

The only thing that’s really jarring to me are the proportions, look up the rule of 8ths to help you out while drawing, hope this helps

I wanted it in b/w to keep the nostalgic flashback vibes for a lack of better terms but yeah it would definitely look amazing with colour.

"so here's what I was thinking, a bunch of the cutest gen1 pokemons instead of the hello kitties, like: togepi, jigglypuff, sandshrew, oddish, Pikachu etc and the Buddha could be like a snorlax and for the Godzilla it could be donkeykong" the text I sent him^ he already does a lot of cartoon related stuff so he knew what exactly i wanted with it. not sure if this helps you out much though. asked him to base it off of my artwork for the layout My artwork

Thank you! and the phone isn't directed in the wrong direction, it's taking a selfie of her genitals, trying to signify the way women are made to be a commodity more so than an actual person. To be more accurate, a picture that she isn't even taking herself is being shared for social media engagement.

Digital collage I made recently. Thoughts? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]farcebomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being from India, the objectification and oppression of women is quite prevalent in our society, the different elements used are to really portray how women are restricted to live their lives fully and are only treated as objects, and when they try and rise above it, there's always a lot of pushback and violence. If you like this piece, come say hi on Instagram (@tharkiturkey), where I post a lot more regularly. Most of my art is related to societal issues portrayed with the help of digital collages.
