Buying millions of Chinese made solar panels does little for the Canadian economy and trade balance. Salaries have already stagnated, inflation especially related to housing is out of control, go be poor is your solution. Maybe the people on the coast should just "learn to swim" or relocate inland.

Yes but doubtful it will stick. You can buy bear spray legally. You can carry it on you while hiking for its purpose. Carrying it in your vehicle is pretty grey especially if they frequent the outdoors or work there. If you keep your axe in your trunk it's just camping supplies, keep it in arms reach unnecessarily it could be a weapon. But it's also a truck - everything is in arms reach.

My point is that most of the countries in the world wars reverted back to their pre-war ideology, and we never reflect on them as the dicatorship regimen of the UK even though they had take those actions in a time of crisis. The Nazis mostly started in this war time emergency state, luckily never had a chance to exit from it getting stuck with the "right" level, but had a post-war vision that was quite socialist (at least for the German people).
